If you were betting would the vote be before or after 8PM ET?

“Deeply partisan votes” amaze me. Can anyone explain how when 99% of Democrats vote in one direction it is partisan, but when 100% of rethuglicans vote in the opposite direction it is not partisan?

Despite all of the Trump claims to the contrary, you only have to look at the insanity that he has unleashed the last two days in the letter and tweets to see just how badly he is being hurt by finally being held to account for his lifetime of venality and self-dealing.

The more he squeals and complains, and the more I know that he is forcing
Republicans to go on record as defenders of the indefensible, the happier I am.

If it wasn’t because of Trump ego, and the GOP asslickers all trying to display how much they love their dear leader, it would have been over by now. They believe that it’s going to hurt democrats in key battleground states and there is absolutely no risk of Trump being remove form office no point to keep dragging it for so long, their voters don’t care … but Donnie likes to see idiots doing kamikaze attacks in his defense.

To add to that, if it is indeed partisan, it’s not the fault of Democrats. It’s Republican corruption, obstruction, and defiance of the law. What the hell are Democrats supposed to do about that? Not impeach? That would be ridiculous.

It’s appalling to hear (mostly) old, rich white guys telling the rest us of how “unfair” everything is. Meanwhile they rake in the dough for spending the majority of their time doing nothing that helps the people they are supposed to represent. Cowards and Traitors! May they go down in flames with their Narcissist-In-Chief.

Here is the final hurdle it will face, when it gets to the Senate.
"Republican lawmakers who went to Russia seeking a thaw in relations received an icy reception from Democrats and Kremlin watchers for spending the Fourth of July in a country that interfered in the U.S. presidential election and continues to deny it.
“Cannot believe GOP, once the party that stood strong against Soviets & only a decade ago sought to democratize the Middle East, is now surrendering so foolishly to [Russian President Vladimir] Putin and the Kremlin’s kleptocracy — only two years after Russia interfered in U.S. election,” tweeted Clint Watts, an information warfare specialist at the Foreign Policy Research Institute and frequent featured expert before congressional panels examining Russian influence operations.

I think it’s important to remember that everyone who votes against impeaching Trump (as well as the Senators who vote to acquit him) will have to own everything Trump does next year. I have no idea what will happen over the next twelve months, but if history is any indicator, Trump’s behavior will likely become far more erratic and inappropriate than anything we’ve seen thus far.

Trump still hasn’t had to deal with any major national crisis yet. I think even the majority of his supporters don’t believe he’s up to the task should we have such a crisis. Again, whatever he does from now on will be laid solely on the shoulders of those who refuse to do what’s right now.

Well if were to be held accountable for the sins of his lifetime, impeachment would be just a slap in the wrist.

Pelosi’s mistake was to let the crimes outlined in the Miller report be left unpunished. One can make a credible argument that if that was permissible the Ukraine thing should be too.

Not that I am not ecstatic about the impeachment.

I love the smell of impeachment in the morning!
It smells like…victory!

When the party platforms are the Constitution or Tyranny, I am definitely a partisan.

Blest with victory and peace, may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the Power that hath made and preserved us a nation
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust.”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

I know I regularly challenge critics of Tammy Baldwin in Wisconsin to tell me what Ron Johnson has done for them lately. They never answer me. Can’t imagine why?
