The voices of reason will be heard. No attempt to silence us, no threats, no acts of violence will stop history from righting this monstrous wrong and vanquishing this evil. We hold the Constitution.

Party like it’s 2019.

Sad to have such a corrupt president that this became necessary. His ignorance, arrogance, and incompetence have always been troubling. His corruption and criminality should have disqualified him from the start. It’s time to finally impeach the motherfucker.

Is it finals week at Northwestern? That doesn’t help with crowd size, if so. I love the news that Christmas carols kept breaking out at some of the rallies.

I’m 65 and have seen a lot. There was nothing fun or joyful about dealing with Nixon, and I don’t know anyone who wanted to go through it again. But, here we are, making another stand. It must be done. That much I’m certain of.

I’m right there with you. I was in D.C. on Nixon’s second inauguration, marching in protest. Trump is worse … as a president and as a man. His corruption far surpasses Nixon and his competence and even his love of country fall far short. But, in making comparisons, there’s really no other modern American president to compare him with. Perhaps he compares favorably with some foreign murdering dictators, but that’s not saying much. We deserve better.

Trump is completely convinced into his inner self that it is an impossibility that he can do wrong. That is why he called the transcript perfect. And it is why he “goes with his gut”.

O/T (but still happily on-topic :dart:)
The NYTimes fact-checked President Wharton School’s letter to House Leader Pelosi.

Yeah. Turns out? Not-so-factual.

I agree 100%, Rick. I was always reasonably certain that, in some twisted way, Nixon loved his country. This guy? Money and power … that’s it.

I was at the South Bend, Indiana rally. It was cold, but spirits were high. Chants of “Not Above the Law” and “Impeach and Remove” rang out from hundreds of voices. People in cars driving by were overwhelmingly supportive. We need to keep this pressure and energy up for the next 11 months. Call your Senators!

Republicans don’t seen to think so. He, his rabid millions, and especially the MSM, will falling all over themselves with shouts of exultation when the Senate fails to convict. Trump will be emboldened, and the Democrats may not even have a clear winner that the vote public can get behind going into the convention.

Yeah, I’ve feeling blue this morning.

Only Trump’s most devoted cultists are not sick of his daily Reality/Tweet show. If Trump is not removed by the Senate, I am confident he will be resoundingly defeated in the 2020 election. Mark it down!

Yeah, the country is surely in a different place now. Partisanship and hate over country and the common good. Hope to see the needle move back some during my lifetime. But I don’t have much confidence when I look around.
