There’s a good Bob Bauer video about the ridiculous lawsuits.

Seems like there would be some penalties for frivolous lawsuits, but probably doesn’t apply to campaigns.

I don’t understand how judges can say, ‘separate late arriving ballots, and after the election we will decide if they count or not.’
Aren’t the rules of the contest more useful to be known before the contest?
Seems a good way to setup a heads I win, tails you lose situation.

Is anyone suing to force states to count all the missing absentee ballots that were delayed by the USPS? I assume that nobody is, because I haven’t heard anything about that.

Might flip Florida? Maybe give us a North Carolina Senator? So why not?

Trump loves litigation and even more he absolutely loves spending other people’s money, so as long as his party is paying, he’ll burn their dough. He also wants to breathe his malodorous, noxious, breath into every nook and cranny he can. If any of this succeeds there will be riots, and I doubt if SCOTUS wants that, although maybe Comey-Barrett has risen herself from the Slumber of Snow White, and will actually have an opinion on something.

Yeah, and also kinda relevant to the voters who based their voting behavior on the rules.

I’d love the be hearing from a LOT of USPS employees about the scene on the ground.

“is just a tweet with a filing fee”

I like that. Could describe a person, too.

asking that elections officials be ordered to stop opening mail-in ballots and tabulating votes until campaign officials are granted “meaningful access” to observe the process.

“Meaningful access” translates as “they wouldn’t let us bring paper shredders”.

I’m pretty sure he regards what’s left in the campaign fund as “his” money. Just hasn’t been diverted yet.

Pay attention to what’s going on in Emmet Sullivan’s court. He’s been demanding daily reports on undelivered ballots.

Is there reason to worry about faithless elector problems, especially if Biden has only 270 EV?

Oh little Donnie needs to throw his temper tantrum, especially since he may be starting to think about January 21.

I would really love to see Louis deJoy standing before Judge Sullivan trying to 1) explain his actions (and inaction) as Posmaster General in attempting to thwart the elections, and 2) trying to show cause as to why he should not be held in contempt of court for ignoring Judge Sullivan’s directives.

Yes. One hopes one of PA, GA, or NC will create some margin.

Team Trump’s arguments are the legal equivalent of Rudy furiously tucking in his shirt.

If I am remembering correctly, it pretty much is. Once there is no longer a campaign, I don’t think there is much, if any, restriction on how the campaign spends the money. Trumpp would have reportable income on spending deemed to be for his personal benefit, but it would be very easy for the campaign to provide enough documentation to avoid that as long as it isn’t transferring cash into a Trumpp account.

It would be interesting to know if any managers gave orders that could be violations of laws against interfering with voting or elections.
