Sure maybe, but police sees kindred spirits with these sonsofbitches, so how can you not expect slow-walking?

November 6, 2024 (AP):
The Proud Boys rioted last night in reaction to Donald Trump’s apparent election loss to Joe Biden. In Washington D.C. multiple Federal buildings were severely damaged, and there are reports of some fatalities and injuries among Capitol and D.C. police.
FBI spokespeople have stated if only there had been intelligence, and reasonable reason to suspect violence, they would have been better prepared. Congress is expected to investigate and make recommendations for future election related security needs.

Yes they’re a gang BUT they’re a right wing gang doing the will of the billionaires who run this country. So that’s OK with police departments and counties controlled by “constitutional” sheriffs.

All the more reason to stay home.

The Capitol Police were under-equipped and were hung out to dry for hours. If their request for National Guard support had been honored promptly, the Proud Boys would have been outed as a gang of strutting blowhards. Stand back and run away.

“If.” Such a word. Today is Elie Weisel’s birthday. “If” is not strong enough to carry the immense burden of sorrow over the things human beings do to one another, nor to account for our indifference.

Now, if we changed the headline just a bit, like so:

If Law Enforcement Had Treated Trump Like A Petty Mobster From The Start, the Dire Straits our Country is Now in May Have Been Less Severe.

Enforcement is necessary, and sometimes, even sufficient. We should try it with these Aholes… All of them. And give them penalties that hurt.

What?! Alabama did something smart?!

(I’m a native and lifelong resident, so it’s okay for me to criticize them.)

Yes.

Joyce Alene lives there with her family and chickens. I have great admiration for her, and how she treats them all as the sentient beings they are. So, Alabama is definitely not all bad…

the bias in law enforcement that street gangs are composed only of urban youth.

Because so many cops are white supremacists.

I can attest to that! Joyce lives about a mile from me as the crow flies. Are you familiar with the heinous act that killed her future father-in-law?

Oh, geez, that‘s horrific.

I guess I had forgotten the mail bomb assassination. But I DO remember Robert Senior from the 1968 DNC Convention in Chicago, where I was participating in the the action. He fought everything he had in him to wipe out Wallace and hie racial hatred… He was heroic in that. What a great family legacy!

Thanks for posting this!

(I subscribe to Joyce’s blog, Civil Disobedience, errrrr, Discourse! (my freudian slip) and she told a story about how she talks to her chickens, her cat, her dog, and reminds them she’s their mom, and it’s their job to get along with their peers and look after them, and then reminds them of their names. It is so sweet, and real. And she is a knitter, like I am, too. She is a brilliant, honest, funny person.)
