Mark Sanford: Governor, hiker…soothsayer?
The Republican Governor of South Carolina has issued a warning to the American people about health care: “It’s worth noting that today, the Fifteenth of March, is remembered as the ‘Ides of March’ — a day of reckoning and foreboding.”In a written statement about the dangers of health care reform, Sanford invoked the expression “beware the Ides of March,” a soothsayer’s warning to Julius Caesar on March 15, the day he was murdered.
