Give Belgium credit for playing very well, but it’s not a coincidence that the US team played their worst match in years after Trump’s very public interference. Through no fault of their own, they were in a no win situation. If they had won, the narrative would have been all about how they received special treatment. Additionally, I think FIFA’s dubious retraction of the consequences of a red card energized the Belgium team.
All of this is just a long way of saying ETTD.

it’s not unheard of for dead people to win elections in the US, but a senator serving his eighth term entirely on life support or in suspended animation could be a first. The real Mitch could also serve as a placeholder for AI Mitch, who is happy to get paid in tokens and “compute”. It would be great to have all elected senators tattooed with a “Defrost by” date.

The USMNT doesn’t have the skills to defeat someone like Belgium. Nearly every time they had the ball, it was taken away. It’s great they made it as far as they did, but watching the match reminded me of when I coached in a rec league that also had a team that was part of the elite traveling league. They used the rec league for “practice”.
We may have scored a goal or two, but beating them wasn’t going to happen.

The Independent has contacted Porter McConnell for comment.
Porter McConnell is one of three daughters the senator had with his first wife, Sherrill Redmon. She frequently posted criticism of the Republican Party on the now-deactivated account, TMZ noted.
If you can’t ask her, no worry about the response.
