Immigration and Customs Enforcement acting Director Matthew Albence responded on Tuesday to a viral video of an 11-year-old girl tearfully begging for her dad’s release from ICE custody by blaming the father.
The acting ICE chief claimed on Tuesday his agency conducts its operations “with professionalism, with compassion and with humanity” and that “we try our best to minimize the impact on the innocent people of the situation…”
the individuals that are breaking the law are ultimately the ones that are responsible
When the president breaks the law, or his sons or daughters or their spouses break the law, or his staff or advisors break the law, or attorneys general break the law, they should be punished even more severely. They should be held to a higher standard.
Remember when the the admin first started ramping up ICE and republicans where yelling ‘we’re just going after the criminals and bad ones’ and a bunch of centrist and Dems made the often stupid mistake of taking conservatives on their word and agreed saying the left was being unreasonable to push back on such a reasonable position? Yea I hope these kids get to smack those idiots across the head.
With all the rapists and murderers and other criminals we’re told are within the ranks of this country’s immigrant population, you’d think the resources of ICE could be more than fully used in going after the criminals, and there’d be no time for raids against those who are merely earning a living and contributing to our economy.
I guess you’d be wrong. Because what kind of fun would that be? No terrified kids, possibility of really bad guys resisting and causing injuries, actually doing something to remedy a problem.
The company that was raided had a job fair on Monday. It looked as if about ten people showed up. So glad children were damaged to clear the way for “legals”
Having acting directors and chiefs, who have not been confirmed to their posts by the Senate as stipulated by the law, lecturing the rest of us on the rule of law is becoming all too frequent yet no less tiresome.
It’s all about the cruelty. Or, in words that would surely give Floridian Crystal Minton an orgasm, “He’s finally hurting the people he’s supposed to be hurting.”
