Based on trump’s well documented habit of caring only about himself and his own well being I would have to say he could not care less who dies from a preventable disease whatever their age. trump cares only about trump.

These polls did not address the economy and the post-pandemic inflation spike, which currently has grocery prices about 20-25% higher than a year ago. Some believe the perception of a poor economy (price of eggs due to culling) under Biden rightly or wrongly was a factor in Harris’ defeat. Add in misogony, abject racism, and a healthy dose of cultism to round it out.

It wasn’t, she responded — because “Mexican families take care of themselves,” and told Trump about a recent public service campaign called “Fentanyl Kills” that warned Mexicans about the drug. “He was very interested,” she said.
After the call, Trump posted on Truth Social: “I will be working on a large scale United States Advertising Campaign, explaining how bad Fentanyl is for people to use.”

Back in the 1950’s my husband, a young child, was taken to measles party, chicken pox party, and mumps party. His mother wanted to get all of those diseases and get it over with. He was out of school for weeks since he contracted the diseases one after another.

A neighbor told us since he had Covid his immunity was better than having the shot. Guess what? He had Covid 3 times.

Yes, I believe that the lack of an effective acquired immunity was established during the first year of the covid pandemic, when the ‘herd immunity’ mass murder idea was first making the rounds.
I’d wonder how people could still believe they acquired immunity, but, then, treatment with ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine still have their adherents.

Not good enough. The reason I want mandatory vaccinations (to the extent that’s possible) in a pandemic for everyone, is so the guy sitting next to me on an airplane or serving me food in a restaurant is vaccinated and I don’t catch it when they breathe on me.
Vaccines aren’t perfect; they don’t protect against all infections, they just make it more likely you’ll survive with fewer complications. But they do actually block many infections. The larger the pool of vaccinated folks, the less your chance and mine of being infected.
It’s why the common theme of “Let the next disease outbreaks rage in the Red states to reduce their numbers” doesn’t work. Vax skeptics are everywhere. I’ve met a few in my very Blue state of WA.

This is a point that needs to be repeated. Some vaccinations give you life-time, full immunity or need boosters only after many years to maintain full immunity. Flu and Covid vaccinations, which do not assure full immunity, need to be given frequently, with constant tweaking of the vaccines because of the rapid rate of those diseases’ mutation. Therefore, “herd immunity” is never achieved. That an MD of any sort wouldn’t recognize that fact is shocking.

I still wear a mask (N-95) in stores and at plays, movies, lectures, and concerts. Why not? If I’m going to contract Covid again or flu (which I had once, when I was about 10), I’d rather do it while at a restaurant or at a gathering of family and friends.

My hope is that state health departments will be allowed to pursue proven and needed public health measures without interference from Trump’s quacks. Federalism is the last refuge (besides gunpowder) from an insane and out of control Federal Govt.
