How the Right-Wing Outrage Machine Prompted the Conflagration in Minnesota

More than 2,000 U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents are on the ground in Minnesota in what President Donald Trump’s administration officials have called the “largest immigration operation ever.” Deployed just days ago by Trump, one agent has already shot and killed a person and federal law enforcement has deployed tear gas and pepper spray…

Godwin’s Law has been buried in a deep, deep, cement grave, far, far from invoking its legitimacy in any way.

Additional info from a discussion locally here in MN this week - repeated requests from State auditors to look at the books of these organizations was routinely and quickly shut down.

That doesn’t help the Walz administration’s position on this scandal one bit.

IMO, TRUMP will keep having his goons do outrageous things until the people push back enough for him to bring in Federal Troops.

This is all a prelude to the invocation of martial law. The Trump administrations wants this.

And the RIGHT is pissed that this shooting dragged their grand conspiracy off the front page and saying the left got the woman shot to do this

[The Death Democrats Were Hoping For - Flopping Aces](https://floppingaces.net/2026/01/08/the-death-democrats-were-hoping-f We might compare this death to that of Ashli Babbitt, but Michael Byrd never tried to stop Babbitt. We could perhaps take the Bennie Johnson route. After U.S. Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom was murdered in Washington DC Johnson called it an “unfortunate situation.”

Make no mistake- this was a tragedy. Also, make no mistake- democrats are privately thrilled. This is exactly what they have been hoping for. democrats will make extensive use of her death. She already has been touted as the next George Floyd. democrats will have her name in their mouths every single day for the foreseeable future. There will be (paid) protests and riots. Minneapolis might even burn again.

Tim Walz, Jacob Frey and the rest of the democrat party have been ginning up anger and hatred with words like Gestapo, Nazi and Hitler. They have been really big on Trumps’ alleged incitement on Jan 6 but have done nothing but incite hatred and all but ask for violence against ICE and the Guard. You might think they would lower the temperature, but you’d be wrong.

democrats are fighting a proxy war against Trump and ICE and using gullible Americans like Good for their army. They’ve pushed their followers hard and made hell the lives of ICE, who are only doing their jobs. They created a powder keg and yesterday it blew up.

But like I said, this is exactly what they wanted. The crowd is fired up, there is a common cause, and most are at least temporarily distracted from the massive fraud now being uncovered across the country.

Win-win.

You can dismiss the crocodile tears and the fake umbrage and can just smell the schadenfreude. As for the outbursts from politicians…or/)

Nick Shirley has emerged in the last two years as one of a new crop of news influencers who achieved a new level of salience at the tail end of the Biden years and have been actively cultivated by Trump’s White House.

Shirley was one of the invitees to a White House Antifa roundtable in October, at which influencers and administration officials aired their grievances about the amorphous social movement that has served as a Maga target since Trump’s first presidency.

Shirley dutifully posted a video of his speech at the event on his YouTube channel.

By then, Shirley was riding high on the basis of a previous viral yarn, after he was one of the first influencers to post alarmist videos about immigrant vendors on New York’s Canal Street.

Reportedly, the attention from Shirley and other news influencers such as Savanah Hernandez led to an Ice sweep of the vendors, which was met by resistance from New York residents, and earned a rebuke from Zohran Mamdani, then a mayoral candidate, who called the tactics “aggressive and reckless”.

Yeah, the magaverse is deplorable. They “believe” this is what “Democrats” are doing/will do because that’s what they are doing, and think is the “right” strategy.

This kind of constant cynicism and degrading of human motivations is demoralizing, breeds a sense of futility, and encourages people to either drop out of “society” altogether – or try to shoot it down.

Which is the goal. And why they must be defeated.

Insurrection Act invocation becomes dramatically more likely after a high-visibility violent incident…especially one that can be framed as “unlawful obstruction” of federal operations…or…a threat to federal personnel/property.

That doesn’t mean it has to be real “insurrection” in the historical sense. It means it has to be sellable.

And…right now…officials and media reporting are already describing the situation in terms of clashes…threats…and “bait” dynamics around protests and enforcement.
