How The Judge Gutted Stone’s Ridiculous Attempt To Get Her Removed From His Case

Trump ally Roger Stone tried to get U.S. District Judge Amy Jackson Berman to recuse herself from his criminal case on Friday, claiming that she could not be trusted to be impartial because she mentioned the jurors had “served with integrity” in the trial.

Right wing troll and career criminal Roger Stone deserves to die in prison. The judge was more than accommodating to him with a light 49 month prison sentence, and rejecting his frivolous motion is necessary to avoid the entire process being turned into one big joke.

If Stone keeps it up, his attorneys need to be sanctioned by the Court for their abuse of process by filing patently frivolous pleadings.

It’s refreshing to see someone slap a trumpian with the cold, dead fish of reality. Might have been nicer if she’d used, say, an axe.

She’s Actually Been Pretty Accommodating To Him, All Things Considered

Not just to Stone, the Courts have been bending over backward to Trump to appear fair in the face of bad faith arguments and abuse of judicial procedures.

If they don’t want this to become the new standard, they need to crack down on this behavior…hard.

She did not hold back. She is a bright spot in a dark moment of our history.

How Trump hasn’t called Roberts down on the carpet to insist that he order her to remove herself is beyond me.

Tyrants don’t get no respect anymore.

The right wing echo chamber at Fox has called for her to be impeached.

Yeah that’s going to happen.

Can’t impeach without Nancy on board.

If MoscowMitch could remove a judge on his own, he’d have already done it.

I know that but had to put it out there. Nancy will never allow it but it will provide the screechy House Republicans with something to yell about.

On a happier note Weinstein was hauled off to the gray bar hotel and still faces a trial in L.A. There is some justice in the world.

Damn. That’s really sweet.

Bob Durst finally got extradited to LA, too.

Durst the serial killer and Weinstein a serial rapist -it took a while but maybe their victims will get some justice.

It looks a hell of a lot more like it now and I think so.

I have to wonder if he’d have tried this on if she’d lowered the boom when he violated his gag order.

Good thing I’m not a lawyer because I’m totally confused why the felon isn’t in jail, or from which case the felon would have Judge Berman kicked. The felon is a convict. His case is over. If he wants to appeal, he should file a new case from prison and it should go to a different court. Felon got off easy enough as is.

Violating the gag order is part of a pattern of behavior we’ve seen for decades with him. I don’t think he’s capable of stopping himself. He doesn’t seem to know how. I don’t think that a harsher stance would have changed anything at this point. He’s never been called to the carpet before for his antics, so he never learned how to behave himself.
