Putin’s playbook is ancient.
Grievance is both manufactured and tapped in a profane formula concocted by the Mindbenders who manage right wing media.

Stir up the drunks and the losers sitting in the bars and ale houses, waiting on another drink and crying in their mead because they got shafted somehow.

Our own FOX version is one of the most accomplished at rousing the bitter and vindictive to vile acts of futile malice.
It becomes a permanent agenda and anyone who isn’t in the cult sees it for exactly what it is; cult behavior.
Putin’s been brainwashing his people for decades to this very end.
“They” (our own domestic mindbenders) did it to us quite outrageously for a decade, trying to bring Obama down a few pegs.
“You’re going to be outraged” was the perpetual FOX News crawl line throughout all of Obama’s tenure, and most of it was directed at his tan jacket and health insurance for all.
That grievance is always seething in the hearts and souls of frightened and hateful people. The right wing media’s ability to turn it into votes for bizarre authoritarians like Trump, et al, has become out worst nightmare.
I used to half-seriously suggest that anyone who actually believed WWF grappling was real shouldn’t be allowed to vote.
Now they run the entire Republican party.
Their CEO was Trump’s SBA cabinet secretary.
