I don’t know the ins and outs of running a business in a rented space that then gets flooded. When Montpelier flooded last summer (that’s the town in the photo at the top of this article), some businesses mucked out, re-stocked, and re-opened while others decided it was too much hassle. One business was on their third or fourth go-round. Montpelier has been sitting on that stretch of river for about 200 years, so cleaning up after floods is nothing new.
