How about we start the fund with the ~$20 billion the fossil fuel companies get in federal subsidies each year? They obviously don’t need subsidies anymore, their profits are high enough.
And, note the first thing they say is “it will raise gas prices”. We’re held hostage by the fossil fuel industry just as much as we are by Middle Eastern oil nations…the faster we move off of fossil fuels the better for our national security.
