Obama’s fault. Once he was elected, it was pretty clear the whole race thing was over and the agency was no longer needed…

It’s disappointing but not surprising.
This administration that believes the appropriate was to deal with protests against racial injustice is with armed soldiers, gas and riot control measures.
I get the feeling that Donnie’s people and Bull Connor would find they had ever so much in common.

President Donald Trump, in his budget proposals, has repeatedly recommended eliminating the agency. The CRS, whose work often occurs out of public view, continues to exist only because Congress has repeatedly restored its funding.

It goes to show that Trump does not believe in Civil Rights for All…just for Trump, RethugniCONS, White Supremacists and Evilgelicals!

I see roles for the CRS in policing reform, truth and reconciliation committees, and other societal conflicts. This agency needs investment and growth.

Well how many agencies, or departments within agencies, did Trump and his hooligans disband, defang, or disburse to the 4 corners that ended up being needed?
One thing that scares me is if the Republicans and their states’ right, small government BS had been in effect how many more deaths would we be looking at? And I don’t just mean during this pandemic.

Much of the controversy stems from a campaign by Judicial Watch, a conservative advocacy group, bunch of well-funded right-wing nutbar saboteurs
