I guess good Christians like Speaker Johnson see not issues in a man physically beating a women.

October 2026: “House Speaker Dismisses Concern About Charges of Murder and Cannibalism Against Rep. Cory Mills.” “I don’t know the details of the individual instances of murder and cannibalism,” Johnson said. “He’s been a faithful supporter of President Trump’s Agenda. Of course the liberal media blows everything out of proportion.”

“You’ll have to ask Representative Mills about that. I know he’s been a faithful colleague here. I know his work on the Hill, I don’t know all the details of all the individual allegations and what he’s doing in his outside life,” Johnson said. “Let’s talk about some things that are really serious.”

Danny Dorko, imagining how he would have responded were he attending Johnson’s “news” conference: “OK, great idea. About those Epstein files…”

Suppression of and violence against women has no bounds for Rep. Johnson and his cohorts.

But I bet Johnson would vote to impeach a Democrat like Bill Clinton over a consensual act.

“And that message to American women, and just writing off these serious allegations against a sitting member of Congress as something frivolous and a ridiculous question speaks volumes of where they value their constituents and especially women, in this month,” Clark said.

I am not sure what Johnson can do about this issue but it is pretty clear he lacks the kind concern about domestic abuse that should motivate anyone in a leadership position. Johnson is pretty dismissive for somebody who claims to be a devout Christian.

As was stated in Russian law until the 1960s - a man must not beat his wife…too much.

Standard Johnson answer: “I know nothing. I see nothing.”

I just came here to post the same thing. If Mills had a “D” after his name, censure/expulsion would already be happening.

Seems Speaker Johnson does not know much of anything. He cannot get his own majority party to get his chamber open for business . Like swearing a new member, Adelita Grijalva, who was elected 9/23/25 to fill the vacant seat of AZ 7th CD empty since March after the death of Raul Grijalva. But I guess Speaker Johnson has no time to work at his paid position. Must be nice to ignore work utterly.

Of course Mike Johnson isn’t concerned, he’s a coward. He’s bought. He’s paid for. He’s beholden.

How ‘bout this headline: Country’s Most Hypocritical Christian Works “Faith” into Defense of Domestic Abuser?

Okay, I need someone with a bit more time on their hands than me to edit this meme, substituting “Republican Party” for “British Navy” to make it more accurate.

Thanks in advance!

Non, non, non mon ami - Many folks on this site make this mistake. They aren’t “Christians”, they’re “Christianists” - they have adopted some of the words, but none of the values of the Christian religion so don’t get to claim the title “Christian”.

Folks, they’re 'Christianists" - False Christians, putting it on to wank to the words of the guy who would now tell them they’re all going to hell, if he were to return to check out where we are a couple of thousand years later…

I have been thinking about the evolution of religion for a while now. It seems that until the bronze age and Iron age boundry religion involved worshipping a bunch of gods and goddesses. There was one exception in Persia. That religion said there was one god but the battle was between good and evil. Essentially two entities. The normal gods and goddeses all had the traits of men and women and could be understood in that context. Then one of the Semitic tribes in the middle east borrowing from the Persian god invented by the prophet Zoroaster combined all of its gods and dumped all of its goddesses and demanded that people believe god wasn’t a super man or a wonder woman but some sort of singular entity. Similar things happened in India and China. That forced humans to face the reality that they are the source of both good and evil. Donald Trump and his regime force us to confront the reality that men and women are the source of evil, just like they are the source of good. Anyway, just a stray morning thought. .

Just another rightwing jerk suffering from that rightwing toxic masculinity that tells him that Geeeesus says it is OK to hit women any time they are not subservient quick enough.
