I just got an e-mail from our dear leader about the wonderful new SS benefits. I replied that it came from an awful piece of legislation. I signed my name. Can I expect a visit from a masked man tomorrow?
Jeffries talking for 8 hours doesn’t make him a good leader. There was likely way more he could have done, but chose not to because of fealty to the wealthy who own him. Its time for a change, and NOT another Pelosi clone please.
All right, a report back:
The parade started out with a convertible Mustang leading the way, followed by a flotilla of around 20 kids on bicycles. Next came parents helping the little kids on their bikes, many with training wheels. Small, modest American flags. And near the rear, an elderly lady in a wheelchair, being pushed along.
No visible guns, no bellicose music.
It was nice. Things are looking up, at least in my neighborhood.
I think you are forgetting the operatives they’ve placed in election boards now. And the gerrymandering. And the sway of social media that convinced millions that with the lowest unemployment we’ve ever had that somehow we were in a recession.
The states run elections, not the Federal government. The only place they can easily place operatives on election boards is in Red states that are already going to vote Republican. Can’t be done easily in a Purple state with a mixed legislature where Democrats can keep a close eye on their elections, and it can’t be done at all in Blue states.
Likely? Please specify what more he could have done. And please provide evidence that his alleged fealty to the wealthy caused him not to do more of the likely moves you claim he could have made. (And btw, Pelosi had her limitations as a Dem leader but was a brilliant in-House strategist and tactician as Speaker. There’d be no Obama-care for the Repubs to spend so much time trying to repeal or gut without her.)
