I can’t imagine even the most virulent Republican mother can hear about that and think it’s okay. Otherwise, why on earth are they so fierce about advocating for forced births?

There’s your problem. The Evangelical version has a few edits.

Once the kid is born, any amount of suffering is OK, and sometimes encouraged (particularly if the “wrong” race, ethnicity, or religion is involved).
The only way for the most virulent of Republican mothers to get upset is if ORR/HHS allows a impregnated by rape migrant girl to get an abortion. Everything these infants, toddlers, young or old children go through is just God’s plan.

It is trump’s deliberate policy to cause pain and suffering in any immigrant. The more vulnerable … the more pain.
And still our government allows this to continue. It is happening now, today, as I write this. And someone please tell me what anyone has done to stop it.
My solution would be to start at both ends. Find competent, caring, trained people. Get them assembled near all BP facilities and then get in and remove every BP agent. Fire the. Arrest them. But get them out. Then find these people preplanned housing away from the goddamned BP.
At the other end the DoJ needs to change its policy on indicting or charging a president. I’ve read their policy. You can find it as a .pdf on the DoJ website. The reasoning is deeply flawed.
Then charge trump with serial child abuse. And get him removed from office.

These separations are traumatic for both the parents and the babies. The babies may never recover. All they have each other and even that is taken away from them. It’s got to stop.

I can imagine it very easily. After all, these aren’t little white babies we’re talking about.
I cannot, for the life of my, understand the logic behind’taking young children from their parents’…what does it accomplish…they now have hundreds, if not thousands. of young children to care for…that’s is a very demanding job…it takes expertise…to expect men& women , who are trained as ‘border patrol’, to care for these very young children, is stupidity beyond comprehension…like some wrote, it seems the only reason is to inflict as much pain as possible on the migrant parents…I recall Newt Gingrich…sometime back, extolling the virtues of orphanages; maybe that is the plan? are we going to be getting videos of whatever ? being done to these children?
Not only is what’s happening ‘God’s plan’ to some of the Evangelicals, but there also have been stories of some of these young children in foster care placements made by Christian groups being the subject of adoptions, particularly when the documentation linking adult and child can’t -or won’t- be found or the parent has been deported or is in another country and has no way to get back to the US.
Nice of them to adopt those little brown babies.
