Rapper Ye, formerly known as Kanye West, appeared on Alex Jones’ far-right conspiracy theory swamp show InfoWars on Thursday and unapologetically praised Adolf Hitler. The shocking remarks, which even the far-right troll Jones tried to steer West away from saying, were apparently a bridge too far for some House Republicans.
I know I shouldn’t be surprised anymore, but the degree of terrible judgment shown by the endlessly hero-worshipping Right never ceases to amaze me. They pack so much stupidity into such a small space, you just have to wonder how so few on their side seem to recognize evil even when it stares them right in the face.
I mean, even Cheney and Kinzinger could see it. I take it this tweet had Jim Jordan’s fingerprints all over it?
See what? I’m not as familiar with Kinzinger’s record, but Cheney supported Trump 100% of the time during his Presidency while knowing exactly what he was. She voted against his first impeachment and voted for just about all of his programs. Right up until J6 when he threatened her life with the insurrection, and it turned into a personal beef against him.
Hardcore Republicans like Cheney are perfectly happy to support a massively flawed candidate, a “useful idiot,” because anything is better than a Democrat. Right up until the leopard starts to eat their face, which is what happened with Cheney.
Maybe experience is necessary. People in this society use too many metaphors. That foolishness continued in 2016 with people comparing Trump to Hillary as though they were “equally bad”.
…“he’s/she’s like __________________”…and then let your mind run wild
Cheney is the personification of evil, just like her dad. She’s a fan of government torture including waterboarding of Al-Qaeda prisoners. I’ll giver her a little credit for making a stand on J6, but everything else about her is despicable.
