A pattern has emerged during Trump II that we have noted repeatedly in recent months, and it continues to reveal itself in new ways. Observing the executive branch’s goal of running roughshod over the separation of powers, Trump’s allies in Congress have gone out of their way to help with that mission — and, in…

He may have lost his law license but, in a sense, Ken Chesebro won.

I think I’ve missed something here. How did Chesebro win in any sense? The article never addresses that proposal.

WTF does “Coach Tommy” care? He’s leaving soon anyway. He is truly the stupidest person in the U.S. Senate. Marcia Blackburn heaves a sigh of relief.

Well, why wouldn’t the House, and why not the Senate, too, want to “gut their powers”? They’d still get paid the same, right? Still get the big Congressional perqs? For doing no work! And with that Musk guy and Blue Balls out of the picture, no chance they’d end up “forked”, like the hundreds of thousands of other government employees, right?

Why would they need authority when they want it all to reside in one person in the executive?

In case anyone needed more evidence that the current Supreme Court majority is a Republican first and only court without care for their oaths of office or the Constitution, they have now sanctioned POINT OF VIEW DISCRIMINATION.

States can cut off Medicaid funding to Planned Parenthood, the Supreme Court rules

Noting that this is NOT about abortion as Planned Parenthood does not provide abortion services in states like South Carolina that have outlawed abortion, rather this is about Republicans discriminating against an organization for their POINT OF VIEW.

That is what South Carolina Republicans are doing is targeting Planned Parenthood not for what it does but what it says. That means the Supreme Court has now sanctioned Republicans can discriminate against an organization or a person for what it says, regardless of what it does.

That makes it alarming for everyone, not just folks in South Carolina.

Republicans are empowering government – sometimes through big business, which has its own standards and practices behind the government lead – to track every aspect of human behavior, including intent. AI gives them the computer processing to make sense and nonsense out of that vast intrusion.

It’s Big Government… in a Big Way.

RIP: We’ll all miss Republican values

You can accuse Democrats of being “Tax and Spenders”. Republicans tax and money disappears!

Budget cutbacks, lay-offs, sell-offs, less fraud protection, less cyber protection …tax increases?

So you’re saying money for nothing and their checks for free?

What the SC has also done is again make it harder for poor people to get healthcare. If you’re on Medicaid it can be very hard to find a doctor that will take you as patient.

I do believe Planned Parenthood also helps women looking for in vitro fertilization advice and options. Stop shooting yourselves in the foot and point the gun at your temple.

Thank you, Nicole and TPM for covering the GAO story. I highly recommend for everyone to read the letter from Comptroller General Dodaro to the Appropriations Committee. It lays out clearly and concisely how much good GAO does for the Congress and American people.
