Now waiting for Gym and his flying MAGAts to go after Judge Howell for judging while being a woman. Becuz that’s a Nein-Nein (aka Nyet Nyet)

U.S. District Judge Beryl A. Howell ruled in a sealed opinion that Trump’s attorney Evan Corcoran must not only answer questions regarding his client’s alleged retention of documents and obstruction of investigators but also turn over his notes. The reason for piercing the normally inviolate attorney-client privilege: the crime-fraud exception.

Howell’s ruling means she has already seen substantial evidence of Trump’s illegal conduct. Although conviction requires proof beyond a reasonable doubt, Howell’s ruling ensures that Corcoran, a witness with intimate knowledge of Trump’s mind-set and actions, will provide prosecutors with even more ammunition against Trump, unless he invokes the Fifth. In a case with well-established facts, multiple witnesses and clearly applicable federal laws that carry steep penalties, Trump’s own counsel could deliver a fatal legal blow.

Exactly my thought. IANAL, but I cannot see any legitimate reason for a LOCAL DISTRICT Attorney to answer questions for a Congressional committee, unless said committee is trying to fund some sort of cooperative arrangement.

If Jordan has questions about discussions with DOJ, he should 1st call the DOJ and if he then has evidence of discussions, could ask for clarification from the DA side. Otherwise, knock this shit off!

Ok, on further thought, if Jordan was actually investigating DOJ “misdeeds” and had actual evidence, rather than Fox News’ word for it, perhaps there’d be a legit reason to call the DA…maybe…

This is what happens when you make power more important than policy, a small fraction of radical and terrible people are in control of one of the two major American political parties.

That is Trump received 74 million votes. Yet, as you point out, a small fraction, less than 15%, will likely only vote if Trump is on the ballot or at the least Trump goes out and campaigns for a GOP nominee not Trump.

If there was any policy to the GOP, this would be a problem but not insurmountable as the Party could pivot to compete for other voters. But as power is the only current reason to support Republicans, they cannot pivot on issues and are stuck where they are, God, guns, gays, race and abortion.

Is there such a thing as Congressional abuse of process?

Nope…he would just be in “exile” while the GOP worked to somehow get pardons and exonerations for him. Or change the laws to exempt him from persecution…er, prosecution and conviction.

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see them float a Constitutional Amendment exempting a President from indictment, prosecution, and conviction, ever. With, of course, the caveat that said President is Republican. And likely THIS Supreme Court would support the “constitutionality” of it all.

Only if Democrats are in control of Congress.

That is legislative intent of the highest order.

Ah, there it is. Thanks. She did not already do so. She ruled that Corcoran has to.

What happens if he refuses?

I wouldn’t mind that judge in Texas and flordia put under oath. Always with the projection these idiots.

My question is what if he says there isn’t any?

He’s going to call Judge Beryl Howell a liar?

And if this lawyer, for whatever reason, refuses to turn in his notes, or turns in some but not all of his notes, he risks going to jail himself. So let’s see how loyal this attorney plans to be. I like this judge. Clearly, she knows hows to deal with gangster-types in her courtroom as well as whiny immature children.

“In light of the serious consequences of your actions, we expect that you will testify about what plainly appears to be a politically motivated prosecutorial decision,” Jordan wrote in a letter, which was also signed by House Oversight Committee Chair James Comer (R-Y) and House Administration Committee Chair Brian Steil (R-WI).

You are reportedly about to engage in an unprecedented abuse of prosecutorial authority: the indictment of a former President of the United States and current declared candidate for that office.

These clowns are playing with fire.

And now this BREAKING not NEWS!!!

WASHINGTON—Rep. Kevin McCarthy spent much of the weekend doing yard work at Re ( p. Marjorie Taylor Greene’s house, several eyewitnesses report.

The Speaker of the House was seen mowing Greene’s lawn, as well as gathering leaves, twigs, and other yard detritus into a bag.

While McCarthy was mowing, Greene emerged from her house and appeared to tell him that he “missed a spot,” according to one onlooker.
