House GOP Passes Trump’s Budget Resolution As Admin Takes Sledgehammer To Separation Of Powers

After a dizzying back and forth that involved House Republican leadership delaying, pulling and abruptly restarting a vote on the conference’s budget blueprint Tuesday evening, Republicans’ “big, beautiful” budget resolution narrowly passed the House in a 217-215 vote.  The plan calls for extending President Trump’s 2017 tax cuts, raising the debt ceiling and directs key…

So, this is the “GREAT” of “MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN?” Where is the ‘unity’ that Donnie promised? Where are the lower prices that he promised?

Well fuck.
Guess TSF has better blackmail information this time around. Or is just threatening to have the GQP scum murdered if they don’t vote in favor.

Presumably will be passed by the Senate by reconciliation?

I’m pleased to hear that no Dems crossed the aisle for this resolution. Their approach to speaking against it was great too. More, please! And in different media!

Make them end the filibuster to get it done. Absolutely nothing could possibly make their ownership of the ensuing disaster more clear and beyond argument.

Don’t say we have no power. We do. Our power just isn’t to enact anything or mitigate the shitshow. It is to make absolutely certain the blame is UNDENIABLE.

What’s the procedure to close a vote and why did anybody leave before it happened?

Jasmine is probably right. They need to watch these dodgy bastards closely. They will use any trick they can.

Proving yet again that there is no such thing as a moderate Republican. Not one of the Republicans had a spine or a heart or sanity. The whole thing is a set up for shafting the poor. Trump Inc. is going to grift a ton of money. The rest of the economy is going to crash.

Never vote for a Republican for anything. There is no point in giving them a foot on the political ladder

Semi-honest question. Are the members of Trump’s cabinet so stupid that they can be hornswoggled by Musk in person the way Trump was?

Yes. Coupled with intimidation, fear, compromise.

This is what the American people voted for. I hope they remember next time.

Grandparents will be kicked out of nursing homes. And a large majority of their children are MAGATs.

Come get your parents’ faces eaten MAGATs.

Question: they passed this bareboned ‘blueprint’ which is almost an outline of a budget, but not a budget.

Do they have to pass a budget? Or can they take that ‘blueprint’ into reconciliation and hash out the actual budget with the Senate in reconciliation?

And several they can’t.

Things I have come to accept.

  1. Trump is not a businessman. He is a criminal doing business.
  2. He was never anything but a criminal. DNA or Nuture, he is a bad guy.
  3. He is repugnant of anything not criminal. He hates all of us. Including MAGA.
  4. We are all just marks to him.
  5. He wants to hurt everyone. His resentments are unprecedented.
  6. He is declining. And in doing so, no longer keeps things on the down low.
  7. And he is being exploited. Musk foremost.
  8. His co-conspirators are either fellow travelers or scared spit-less of him.
  9. We are not Russia. Even if he thinks we can be.
  10. It is going to blow to the ceiling, someway, somehow.

What do these fucks think is going to happen if they really cut $880B out of Medicaid ? Every other Nursing Home in the country will shut down. Then what ?

It’s getting closer and closer to pitchfork and torches time. Clauswitz rules may be where this must go for justice to come back to life.

Rep. Crockett is right - these people are unredeemable and unforgivable.

Reminder that Phony Joni Ernst repeatedly said if people are truly in need they need to go to a church and ask for help.

And then there is Mike Lee who said he will not rest until Social Security is torn up from its roots and dismantled because it removed Americans discipline to save and invest for their future.
