House Dems Looking Into Disguising Whistleblower’s Identity From GOPers

Not sure I’d want to fly in or out of Lost Cause International.

So maybe it’s time for a false flag operation - bring in a fake Whistle-blower, the Repubs leak the fake name, we arrest them?

Well, I no longer trust Johnson, so we’re on the same page. Wisconsin will bounce his butt, next election, since it was so close last time.

ETA: it was Johnson 50.2 to Feingold 46.8. RCP called it quite differently in advance of the election, so there was probably some chicanery there too:

I think Chuck Todd should ask that very question : - )

Sadder, still, is how unsurprised we are.

So you won’t have to…

FoxNews.com top headline is
“18 Day Mystery”
https://www.foxnews.com/politics/ig-could-not-explain-18-days-between-ukraine-call-and-whistleblower-complaint-sources-say
“Intelligence Community Inspector General Michael Atkinson, in testimony to House lawmakers about the whistleblower complaint on President Trump’s controversial phone call with his Ukrainian counterpart, could not explain what accounted for the 18-day window between the July 25 call and the Aug. 12 [complaint]”

Buried way the fork down is this bit…

“The whistleblower’s attorneys, meanwhile, maintain the whistleblower did not receive assistance from congressional sources in writing the complaint, which was a detailed nine-page document including an appendix — a factor that could account in part for the 18-day window between Trump’s call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and the filing of the thorough complaint.”

Wow. Just wow. They are jumping on the fact that it took a whole 18 days to make the tough decision to blow the whistle on the most powerful man on earth who also happens to be the most vindictive man on earth and then get with lawyers to ensure you do it in a way that doesn’t land you in prison forever.

I’ve driven by it. Guess I got lucky, huh… lol : - )

At this point, the GOP can thank the Democrats from keeping them from drinking the water of the cesspool they’re in.

I stress to everyone, that if we want to put an end to this nightmare, there has to be pressure put on AG William Barr.

Barr has a weakness in that he is exercising authority that goes well beyond our system’s conception of the powers of the AG. His whole plan is to discredit the intelligence agencies, and go after anyone that dared to investigate Trump. If the FBI and CIA and sane members of the DOJ let him walk all over them, he can win. However, if people push back, he may fall more quickly than people expect, because his office (AG) doesn’t have that kind of power to withstand sustained push back. He was already defeated by a grand jury in the McCabe matter. The OLC memo was severely weakened today in the Second Circuit. Certainly, his very self-serving interpretation of the OLC memo was discredited.

What the FBI and CIA should do is open an investigation into Lord Barr for obstruction of justice and that he is a threat to national security.

There’s a very strong case to be made. We know Barr is peddling conspiracy theories and is entangling with Russian assets (Mifsud/Roh/Papadopoulos) to weaponize conspiracy theories against the FBI & CIA. He’s also discrediting the ICs of the western alliance. This helps Russia. That alone is a threat to nat sec. In addition, because we know these conspiracy theories have no basis in fact and are propaganda, we know Barr is acting in bad faith. His goal is to protect Trump but one can’t protect him w/out helping Russia and undermining the US.

The other matter is that his attempt to undermine the foundational support for the Russia investigation threatens ongoing and completed cases (e.g., Flynn, Manafort, Stone, and Trump (post-term)). This is obstruction of justice, plain and simple. We know this b/c Barr is acting in bad faith. There is no reasonable or rational basis to believe any of the conspiracy theories that are driving Barr’s probe. This isn’t hard, folks.

In addition, Barr’s gambit is all about the ultimate Kremlin goal of lifting US sanctions against Russia. That undermines US foreign policy and national interests. There is a line btwn politics on one side and nat sec and the rule of law on the other and Barr has crossed it.

Moreover, Barr is shielding Trump from further inquiries in bad faith. In short, investigations must be opened and publicly announced and that should trigger the DOJ to force Barr’s recusal followed by impeachment. Take Barr out and Trump is done.

Do not expect untampered-with elections results from WI for the foreseeable decades. That’s one place where the GOP has abused its power to entrench itself deeply and pretty much can never be trusted again.

I was thinking they get 10 people to dress up in the same “costume” they put the WB in and have them walking the halls after the questioning is over. Sounds outlandish but these are dangerous times. Screw the GOP.

How’d I get dragged into this…

Look, it’s quite simple. Just have a Jared look-a-like appear briefly by “accident” on the TV screen from the remote location, before the pixelation kicks in. Casually mention that any details released previously were just for the protection of the whistleblower and may not have been entirely accurate.

Then let nature take its course.

You know what’ll happen.

Donald will appear in a giant coliseum with the whistleblower in chains before him. And He shall raise his imperial wrist, beckoning the bloodthirsty to vote on the poor creature’s fate.

I’m bettin’ it all on that. Now excuse me while I go back to the Conservative Poker Table ; - )

This is absolutely necessary.

Just look what the GOPers did to Dr. Blasy-Ford for having the audacity to testify against the confirmation of that asshole Kavanaugh and the GOPers have put a $50,000 bounty out on the whistleblower’s identity. Fatso’s out for blood.
