House Dems Finally Have Trump’s Tax Returns

I watch it every year or two and it stuns me every time, it’s just so well put together.

This is a giant “whatever”. I thought this was supposed to happen two years ago. And I have no doubt that people will be touting this as a “win for the rule of law”.

Blah, blah, blah, blah. Blah blah.

I’ve noticed other media citing polls stating that Warnock is up only by 2 points (i.e., within the margin of error).

This after numerous post-general election gaffes by Walker, the revelation that he may not even be a legal resident of Georgia, etc.

Of course, assuming the polling is correct, that is attributable to the White Bible-thumper effect. Exit polling in the general election estimated that 88% of white Bible-thumpers voted for Walker. Herschel could probably piss on the crucifix and it wouldn’t diminish diminish these zombies’ support for him by one half of one percent.

All they really have to do is publish the Rump’s taxes in their unfiltered entirety, in the Congressional record. No legislation was ever going to realistically come out of this Congress or the previous one, anyway.

The Rump wasn’t objectively wrong to argue that the purpose of obtaining the records is to embarrass him. He’s just a waste of carbon who manifestly should be embarrassed, but isn’t. And that’s always been the problem.

The biggest scandal with taxes is what’s not illegal, anyway. Public shame is the only mechanism to keep crooks and thieves a little less dishonest.

Yeah. Who even bothers with clicking on poll links anymore? I know I don’t.

Georgia Republicans simply choose to believe that their own eyes are lying to them. Reality cannot be what they actually see in front of them. Reality is a Democratic ruse used to trick them into doubting their understanding of the world.

Congressional Democrats across the board were slow

WHY? Because their corporate masters demanded them to be slow? I wish the answer was plain, but sadly, it’s not.

Kevin McCarthy is the passive-aggressive flip-side to Jim Jordan’s undisguised aggression

True, but in their defense they are both definietly (•)

The game GOP-controlled Cochise County is playing in Arizona could cost Republicans a House seat.

Once again proving that the 40+ year GOP plan to dumb down Americans worked especially well on GOPPERs

This has likely always been a fiction, but truly in this day and age, you think this is an actual thing? This society revels in its laziness, conceit and self-deception: there is no such thing as “pubic shaming” having any effect outside of a Hollywood movie when the bad guy gets his comeuppance.

This whole tax thing has just been one more delusional symptom that Democrats and Democrat supporters have somehow convinced themselves that no, seriously, this is what will break the fever and people will come their senses. There’s just no such thing. I despise Scumbag with the proverbial heat of a thousand suns, but even I don’t give a shit about Its taxes or whatever might be contained therein. This is all farce.

Otherwise, I’m fairly indifferent about the topic of these tax returns.

A totally different movie, but one I watch every year is “The Taking of Pelham One Two Three” (the 1974 version).

A fire-cracker of a film.

Warnock could be the best and most effective Senator in the history of America and Walker could commit some horrible crime in public and prove himself to be a blathering idiot and still the race would be deadlocked. That says something about Georgia voters and their love of football.

It’s a classic!

Just a taste of the corrosive, toxic, retaliatory, and absurd approach to politics the House GOP will bring to the last two years of the Biden presidency

And this is why I just cannot agree with JM’s take that nothing from the GOP House will matter other than the debt ceiling. It will all matter, Josh. It’s going to waste so much time, put unneeded stress on the demographics targeted, fill up the news cycle with shit, and further erode trust in government.

Anyway, Happy Belated Thanksgiving, folks! I’m finally getting back into a normal routine.

I think many people across the country believe if you’re rich and successful you can do no wrong, it’s not just Georgia or football.

It’s interesting how conservatives feel Apple and Google are threatening Elon’s free speech, but it’s okay for a bakery to refuse to sell cakes to some.

Now, to be fair, @teenlaqueefa never claimed in that post to be first, and never tried to prevent anyone else from making that claim for themselves, leaving us with the only option of needing a do-over to determine who was really first. That do-over is tentatively scheduled for Friday, December 2, 2022 @ roughly 7:00 a.m., CST. @teenlaqueefa, @theghostofeustacetilley, begin your campaigns… NOW!
