Oh man. He makes it sound like shooting fish in a barrel. I like his attitude.

But he’s still stuck in that quaint old rule of law mindset. It’s a little like the “reality-based” issues of the early 2000s.

one thing that Brady has pointed out is that Jan. 6 taught us that gun laws work. Some of the crowd were not just people who got carried away by the moment. These were people who had a definite plan set when they came to Washington. And they knew that D.C. had significant gun restrictions. These people cached their weapons in Virginia, across the river.

Thank you for pointing that out.Though it is still weird and creepy to be travelling hundreds of miles to DC in the middle of winter toting long guns, at least the local laws motivated them to leave them behind in an Arlington motel with a notional “quick reaction force (QRF)”.

These facts (REGARDING THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION) from former US House Counsel Doug Letter should provide valuable information for the GOP House committee on weaponization of government…

Bwahahaha. I amuse myself!
Sotto voice: “These are not the weaponizations they are looking for.”

Thank you, again, ProPublica, and TPM for running this story. :pray:t3:

The census issue is a huge one, with long term ramifications for our country’s governance.
And our battle against gun violence is with us, and its victims, every day. It is so much more immediately real to us:

In each of the last three years there have been more than 600 mass shootings, almost two a day on average.

“It seems to me that there are rules of decorum that are to be followed, just as in the military.”

Most Americans agree.

Republican politicians embrace none of the discipline, none of the honor.
