Nancy gave them the opportunity to behave like adults. Instead, they behaved like recalcitrant thugs and toddlers.
Bring it, Nancy. Don’t let them think they still run things.

Anyone pushing a cop, needs to immediately be faceplanted, cuffed, and charged.
That’s how it worked back when I used to resist arrest.
I like the line about how Marj makes “Michelle Bachmann look like Maya Angelou.” Now that is cray-cray!
I woke up this am, and when I read the news about the Dem House staffers wrote an open letter imploring the Senate to convict the disgraced one-term, two-timed impreached traitor who still demands we adore and emulate him, and see Randy’s question “WTF D.C.?”, and think of the scary movie of my childhood “Village of the Damned.” That is D.C. in a Republican nutshell.
A little quibble: I live in Washington. The State. Please don’t call D.C. “Washington.” Make D.C. a State. But don’t include the word “Washington” in it. Or change the name of the state I live in. Call it “Salmonweed” or “Raincoffee” or “Palouse,” or “Walla Walla.” Please media people, stop confusing me.

IK,R? You can see why it was so terrifying. Look at those eyes! Do you see anything when you look through those windows?
I would say I was relieved by the ending, but then again any final scene featuring the deaths of multiple little kids up to no good is pleasing.
GET OFF MY LAWN!!!
I feel sure that the Speaker will be on top of this.
No one will be allowed to slide.
May that be so.
Huh, that’s a lot like traffic laws in China, and how those “guidelines” apply to any particular vehicle depends on what kind of vehicle it is. For Mercedes, Bentleys, fancy Audis and such, said guidelines are evaporating mist. For middle of the road BMWs, one should consider the guidelines and follow them if convenient, but, of course, give way to your betters. If you’re driving a Ford Focus, you’d damn well better be obeying the law and keeping out of your betters’ way. If you’re riding a bike, it is your job not be an inconvenience to any driver, and if you’re a pedestrian, you are the only person who cares about your personal safety.
I had a student in class (in the U.S.) whose father was the head judge in a major Chinese city. He nonchalantly told me that when Dad wanted to go somewhere and traffic was bad, he just told his driver to turn on the siren. Sirens in a Mercedes beat just privileged Mercedes and a flattened bicycle is nothing to stop for. He also told me Dad didn’t take bribes. Uh-huh.
Some Rs think they’re Mercedes with sirens.
See the staring works. Protesters should give it a try.
I’ve never lived anywhere where the cops don’t put their sirens on at a yellow (or red) stoplight, so they can go through the intersection unimpeded. I think it is in the rulebooks. I was 15 years old before I realized that one could not give money (usually $20) to the cops that stopped you for a traffic violation, and that they would turn the money over to the court for you to pay the fine. It was a “time-saver,” my old man always said.
I’m sorry that I’m seem to be beating a dead horse but, with these fine gun toting members of a certain political party why didn’t they offer their fine gun toting abilities to the men in blue on 01/06/21?
I’m an introvert. As such, I often avoid eye-contact.
Brace yourself for some crowdfunding to help certain members flout the rules.
But the thing is you don’t have to stare directly at the person, you just have to stare in their general direction. Say over their right shoulder, at their waist, and the impact would be the same.
maybe with a little smile?
Every Republican present. That usually means the gutless wonders didn’t show up to vote but those who did show up, voted against.
But he wasn’t a cop, he was a judge.
Just curious. Why isn’t the metal detector much closer to the door frame so that jackasses can’t circumnavigate the detector on their way into the chamber? Is there too much metal in the door or door frame? If so, I would recommend installing a non-metallic framework between the metal detector and the doorway that would only allow access into the chamber through the metal detector.
