This is terrible and I will jump up and down, but I need credit for passing something my constituents want, so I can play both sides.

Republican senators want to force a shutdown of the government because Joe Biden is trying to save the lives of their constituents. So much for being pro-life.

Don’t we have to look at this through the lens of Republicans delaying everything they can to delay the BBB vote? And until Manchin is on board, Schumer is welcoming everything that does delay that vote.

The Republican party has staked out its pro-covid position. They want their constituents to have the right to get sick and die.

Wow. What an accomplishment.

NOT!

I swear that, given the opportunity, these bastards would congratulate themselves for respirating.

It needs to rebrand for sure. For a new name, I suggest National Socialist American Workers’ Party.

Pathetic.

The problem with a continuing resolution is it freezes spending at current levels.

I absolutely agree with you, but this is an opportunity (yet another one) for Biden to be the leader we voted for him to be. He is giving a speech this afternoon. It is about Covid. After laying out what he plans to do, he should call out - and identify as a Republican Death Squad - those Republican Senators who plan to block this Covid funding. When the predictable stuck-pig squealing erupts, he should double down on them, and denounce them. This is what FDR would have done. And with apologies to a Virginia Democratic Congresswoman, a lot of us who actually contributed to Biden’s campaign from the beginning did vote for him to try like Hell to be another FDR.

Will Repugnicants ever tire of licking the 3rd rail and stiffing our troops so they can stunt and then fold?

Yes, it’s rhetorical.

I would say go ahead with a government shutdown and let the GOP suffer the consequences of their obstruction, except there never seem to be any consequences.

I’ll stick this in here:

(1) We need to get BBB into Law
(2) We need to get Voting Rights into Law

ASAP
(3) It can be done

Hey, is this the same CR Mitch McConnell insisted he was going to block because he was so upset Schumer pointed out the truth about Republicans last month?

That was the debt ceiling. That is next on the agenda.

We have to deal with a BothSider-ism that automatically makes the GOP’s child-like antics into settled statesmanship.

We long ago should have crafted a messaging system which places us far more on the attack.
