‘Holy Cow! Incoherence!’: Dem Rep Rips GOP Opposition To Jan. 6 Commission | Talking Points Memo

Rep. Tim Ryan (D-OH) on Wednesday took aim at Republicans who opposed the formation of a Jan. 6 commission by accusing them of not “living in reality” after the Capitol insurrection that former President Trump incited killed five people.

Tim, if you keep this up I might have to send your Senate campaign money.

Testify! Say it loud!

No need to hold back or feel constrained by parliamentary niceties. Just say the truth forcefully and frequently.

Speaking of reality, this is the lecture you get from it before it circles around to bite you.

“Benghazi! You guys chased the former secretary of state all over the country, spent millions of dollars,” Ryan said. “We have people scaling the Capitol, hitting the Capitol police with lead pipes across the head and we can’t get bipartisanship!”

GOP = Cop Killers

I honestly believe he can win OH. He’s straight out of Rust Belt Democrat central casting. I just don’t think there’s a better Dem candidate to be found in the state.

Might as well print that up as a campaign poster, spool it up for the ads and let it speak for itself.

He used “ain’t”. I am now a fan. I just know a few of the folks around here winced reading that.

If ain’t was good enough for Shakespeare it’s good enough for me.
It’s actually the regular form of the contraction, “I amn’t” since the “mn” sound tends to just turn into an “n”.
Reason it’s considered bad grammar these days is because some king (back when they set the grammar rules) was against it.
The things you learn when you take a junior-year class in grammar on the way to a B.A in English.
They certainly don’t tell you that sort of stuff in high school when it would cause trouble.

If this is an example of how he’s going to campaign, the GQP should be very worried about now.

Sometimes people use colloquial language to signify they’re getting real for a moment.
