CHICAGO (AP) — When Bernie Sanders didn’t win the Democratic presidential nomination in 2016, Silvia Machado and Patrick Gibbons voted for Green Party candidate Jill Stein in protest.
I’m as progressive as they come and I will not hold my nose. Biden is a good candidate. All of the final four were good candidates. Democrats have a hugely deep bench.
These are whiny privileged brats who didn’t get their way and now they are going to hold their breath until they turn blue. Good. It’s good practice.
One member of the “hold your nose and vote" couple is … fifty-nine years old. Not sure about his partner. I guess she could be a “brat.”
Also planning to vote for Biden (according to the article) are Jack Wilsbach, 21; and Jorge Trejo-Ibarra, 18. They may well be “brats," or at least brat-adjacent, and they may also be “privileged," but to me they aren’t the ones who sound “whiny.”
Right wing wet dream, the most dead ender progressives don’t consider themselves Dems.
You are insignificant and few, but I still invite you to so the right thing
but it is your right to be a spoiler
Let’s see some post Bernie/Warren endorsement numbers
Welcome friends!
Anecdotally the conversations I’ve had in Spanish on the topic lead me to believe latinos like uncle Joe, sadly they don’t vote in the numbers they could, and apparently neither to the young.
Geez louise kid you’re gonna go far.
the sin of being 21 coming of like a douche when you’re trying to be magnanimous.
Not just the veep pick. And I’m torn over having someone like Warren be the VP when she can still rock the Senate.
I hope someone on Biden’s team is looking at the Republican Senators not up for re-election. We need to make sure we can counter the crap they’re going fling when Trump loses.
Jorge Trejo-Ibarra, a Las Vegas high school senior who will turn 18 in July, […]
“In democracies, you never have wins, you have compromises,” he said. “I guess I must compromise.”
You’re gonna do good, kid. That’s a lot better than some folks a lot older, though not necessarily any wiser.
I would like to see Warren take the Ted Kennedy “lioness of the left” role in the Senate – and if we get the majority, keep Schumer from going all soft in the name of “comity”.
Kamala Harris has all the right progressive bona fides for me – and she scares Bill Barr. Republicans might actually prefer her in the VP spot than as AG… plus, she won’t be replaced by a Republican – not in California.
A tough sale as the recursive function of infinite reflecting righteousness is never understood by the righteous and thus they will see no need.
If I could make a buck on it would. I think the right is better at it. I don’t think my radio show and news letter can make money.
You live long enough you see some strange stuff, who would have ever thought AM radio would become a real threat to American Democracy.
Her prosecutorial bona fides that make her a troublesome choice for some progressives in CA will most likely be an asset in the rest of the country, and Newsom gets to appoint her replacement win/win/win
