Last month, Dr. Michael Wasserman received a surprise at the nursing homes he operates.
It came in the form of a delivery from the Department of Health and Human Services: three rapid COVID-19 testing machines sent to nursing homes that Wasserman, president of the California Association for Long Term Care Medicine, directs.
Pet project update:
With 132 days until election eve 581 deaths per day were required to hit the 200k milestone the morning people trekked to the polls.
Today, it’s 76 days until election eve. Per Johns-Hopkins tallies we need to only average 370 deaths per day to hit the 200k milestone.
Anyone tells you Trump is getting this under control is full of shit. The numbers don’t lie.
Criminal negligence. A government job doesn’t mean “try your best to see if you can get anything done, but if you can’t that’s fine.” You have responsibilities in line with your unit’s mission – and no one in this administration has the training or, honestly, the aptitude, to meet those responsibilities. History will not be kind to these homicidal nimrods.
Wait. Most nursing homes don’t usually have lab techs, do they, to run such tests? They might do blood draws, and send them to a lab, I’d think. I suppose it depends on the nursing home.
(And I’m sort of lost by use of the term “instruction,” as here “sent with no instruction.” Normally, we call them “instructions.” But maybe they mean training as well as a manual, as in RTFM. Perhaps being picky, but that’s my job.)
Typical trumpian idiot incompetency. … send a testing machine without any instructions or alert it was coming.
trump incompetency will be the death of millions if trump is reelected.
200,000 deaths will be fondly remembered as the beginning of “herd immunity days” when 3-4 million die and we become a 4th world state with an economy rivaled by Rwanda or Turkmenistan.
And there is really no guarantee that Brietbart and OAN will not be put in charge of the official history of the period – I guess what I mean is that I hope to FSM that history will not be kind to these homicidal nimrods!
I’m guessing they mean overall procedure. Such as guidelines for when you should do a test, what response to take if it is negative or positive (since this test has alot of inaccuracy), when&where to report results (again esp since the test is error prone).
To be fair I avoid anything requiring instructions. If it’s so damned user unfriendly I have to break out a 5 page “how-to” manual from the packaging just screw it. I call the Geek Squad to my house to plug in a radio, and even they end up saying “Well, this has never happened before, let me read the manual.” Yeah, that’s what I thought, and why I paid you to suffer the aggravation.
It’s not just Trump’s incompetency. It’s the incompetency of those he’s hired on. They can’t organize their way out of a paper bag, and they have absolutely no idea of what they don’t know. The worst.
So, Trump’s incompetency here relates to a total lack of ability to choose the right people. (It’s interesting to note that Reagan didn’t have much of a clue as to much, but he hired some really smart advisors, like George Shultz, and Reagan did seem to listen to them, rather then denigrate them, as well.)
