This last-minute order to change the reporting of COVID data was by design to (1) reduce the numbers and (2) to remove control of the data from CDC. Now, why would you remove data needed for pandemic assessment and response from the Center for Disease Control, where it has been placed for many, many years? So you could modify the data to the benefit of those in power?
I wouldn’t trust this maladministration to distribute Q-tips.

The numbers in my State have dropped sharply in the last week or so. Test reports are also way down. No tests, no virus. No reports, no virus.

If a hospital’s chief of surgery turned the lights out on all the rooms where surgical operations were occurring, minutes after announcing that surgeons would henceforth be required to use flashlights in surgery, he would be fired, and disgraced. But Trump, having already horribly botched the federal response to the pandemic, now commits this act of wanton, gratuituous vandalism, and…nothing happens. I get that the Republican party has shrunken and rotted into a death cult, but this feels like a national collapse on a broader scale. These people are getting tens of thousands of us killed, and doing lasting major damange to our social, economic, and political fabric. But for the most part we just seem to carry on, as is we were still somewhere in the realm of the normal. We are not. We seem to be in some gruesome, nightmarish fugue state.

My concern is most likely vaccines will be fully developed this year which means contracts for creating, storing, shipping, delivering, administering, etc. the vaccines will all be done under Trump and that the country will be locked into those contracts through at least 2021 if not longer. The Trump family white house is going to screw this country for years after they’re gone too.

This is all part of Trump’s mission to destroy the US for Putin. It’s a counter-intelligence offensive in the bio-warfare being waged against the US. I know, it sounds totally batshit, but am I wrong? Is Trump sabotaging public health just because he thinks it will help his campaign if he can bury the covid stats? He’s a criminal anyway, so why not a war criminal?
