Here’s Who Else Is Implicated In Unsealed Cohen Docs

Newly unsealed documents from the investigation into Michael Cohen give a tick-tock of who Cohen was allegedly calling and messaging as he scrambled to pay off a porn star who claimed to have slept with Donald Trump. And one document, a warrant application, explicitly names the individuals whom the FBI believed were in contact with Cohen as the pay off was arranged.

Barr may have shut down the investigations, but bet on it: this is the beginning of the end for Hicks and Conway. Donald will dump KAC and Hicks will flip: there is no way this is the only instance of obstruction at which she conspired.

Who is Hicks going to flip to? It seems the investigation has been closed.

I love how a woman with the name of a Lemony Snicket villain is one of the best political investigative reporters out there today.

Can this be reinvestigated once we have a real AG, hopefully in 2021 or is this truly the end? If I’m Cohen, I’m beyond steamed that only I got jail time.

Cohen is in jail, yet Hicks and America media exec’s are free? What gives?

What did they do that was illegal? There doesn’t appear to be any proof that they knew the money to purchase the rights to Cliffords’ story was dirty money, so what’s left?

So glad we have a stalwart like Barr to keep things on the up and up.

Yes, what is going to happen to them? Nothing? or Something?

For one, she lied to Congress about it and the timing. For another, Cohen has no doubt provided law enforcement will a full recounting of their conversations in these phone calls and yes, she knew very well what she was conspiring to do, what it meant, what laws it violated, etc. The House should subpoena her again and this time, if she won’t show up, have her dragged in by her “on fleek” eyebrows.

As I read this, a little voice in my head kept saying, “This is the Trump version of a Good Government Committee, and these are the Board of Directors.”

Crank up the volume … spill the dirt … there has been a dirt ball take over of the government … time for 10 million people to descend upon Washington and take it back … above all else Trump is a simpering coward when he senses he is over matched - will fake a fragility and flee from the conflict.

The biggest disappointment in the hush money stories so far is that we do not have a Donald Trump “Dick Pick”. That is you expect a guy as pompous, arrogant and self centered as Donald Trump to send “Dick Picks” to women he is pursuing or otherwise with whom he is having an affair and I would want such a picture for a giant billboard overlooking the chancellor’s office at Liberty University and the home offices of every Republican office holder and title it, “Thank you for showing us your values”.

I think you mean smallest.

I can be a little slow on the uptake at times, but I just connected these dots: Barr is suppose to investigate the FBI not to see if they dotted all the tees with their FISA warrants, but to see just how much corruption they witnessed and documented during the “listen in.” Plus, find out where all this evidence is. And yeah, I know the FBI, NSA, Whoever weren’t suppose to listen in on ALL calls, just ones involving a foreign national wit the FISA warrants, but once the counter-intel operation was running, the floodgates could have been opened on ALL the calls.

Isn’t that where the IC got the heads up on stuff that was used to get warrants to raid Cohen, Manafort and Stoned?

There’s a larger principle here. You don’t want a criminal sitting in the presidency. Nixon, bless his Quaker heart, at least was a lawyer and understood he was beholden to somebody. I’m not sure Trump thinks he’s actually beholden to Putin or anybody else. Just moves from fight to fight. This is only possible because of a failure of the rule of law. When Trump is gone, the treasury will be looted to the tune of a couple trillion and the public discussion degraded to the point where nuance isn’t even possible. The courts are also courts of equity, which means the judge can allow the normally slow process of jurisprudence to move quickly, and the most common basis for allowing such swift justice is the danger of or realization of an irreparable injury. I used to think the US could recover from the Trump era in a couple decades, but I think we’re looking at a permanent systemic injury. America has become un-great.

Conspiracy to commit violations of campaign finance laws. Cohen didn’t go to jail because the money he paid to Stormy was dirty. He went to jail because it was an illegal donation to Individual 1’s election campaign.

That said, it’s unclear whether there was sufficient proof to obtain a conviction against Hicks, since the content of her many suspicious phone calls was not described in the warrant and she denied knowing about the Stormy stuff before November. If the only direct evidence of her knowledge and participation was Michael Cohen’s potential testimony, it would probably be reasonable to decline an indictment against her.

Trump is way too insecure to ever stick a camera in his crotch.
