Over the weekend, President Trump cried “Fake News” over reports that he was willing to meet with Iranian leaders without preconditions for the gathering.
I wish the Times or CNN would run television commercials with this stuff. Just show these clips and Trump’s subsequent accusations of fake news and then advertise that someone has to “keep the record straight.” Go on the offensive against this guy’s repeated BS.
“I most definitely did not say what I most definitely said. And neither did my Sec. State or Sec. Treasury. When will the media start accurately reporting the things I did not say before I claim to have not said them?”
So why don’t the networks defend themselves by doing the simple work of showing that Trump lies? It’s almost as if the news networks don’t even mind the negative attention from Trump, like they’re in on the reality TV show scam. After all, what do they care, it all makes for good ratings, right?
One precondition: Putin must give his lackey Trumpski permission first. You may have noticed Trumpski’s “locked and loaded” disappeared when Vlad cleared his throat.
“I’m the most terrific liar you ever saw in your life. It’s awful. If I’m on my way to the store to buy a magazine, even, and somebody asks me where I’m going, I’m liable to say I’m going to the opera. It’s terrible.”― J.D. Salinger, The Catcher in the Rye
TPM articles with pictures of Trump like this one are really going to push me to try a Trump Filter. I can’t afford the massive quantities of Brain Bleach anymore.
