It challenges my mind to imagine what could’ve motivated Herdman to accept the nomination as this time aside from willful ignorance, pliant stupidity or partisan fervor.
Oh, he may have a martyr complex: “…take one cross, up the stairs on the right…”

It’s probably safe to assume that Herdman was chosen because he will do what he’s told to do—and the rule of law will mean nothing.
