He Was Ordered to Self-Isolate. He Didn’t. Now He’s Facing Criminal Charges.
Bloomberg reported this morning that the Chinese released figures stating that 1,541 Chinese citizens are known to be symptom-free carriers of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus.
Anyone who is ordered to self-isolate/quarantine and fails to do so is promoting the spread of the pandemic and is a serious danger to the public. The bullets they shoot travel slower, but they kill all the same. So yes, criminal charges should be filed.
Absolutely no sympathy for Mr. Liddle, and his whining disgusts me. Part of the outbreak in western NH can be traced to a single individual who ignored orders to isolate himself after returning from Northern Italy. Instead he went to a business school function.
“I get that people are afraid, but I am not going to go out and willingly get people sick.”
Intent isn’t the issue here. No one who drives drunk intends to kill someone, but a number of them do. Engaging in an act in a such a manner as to recklessly endanger another life has the same effect as an intentional act.
Sometimes it’s very hard to tell where the boundary between southern Illinois and northern Mississippi actually exists.

Well, for how long were we all being told that you were fine until you had symptoms? That was so obviously not true at the time. The attempt to keep people from panicking and affecting Trump’s precious economy has really backfired.

If he has a court order mandating self-isolation or quarantine, he has no argument regardless of what BLOTUS IMPOTUS bloviates. He can ignorantly believe a serial pathological liar all he wants, but the moment he breaks that court order, he’s gone too far. If he wants to fight the court order, then he should get an attorney, but stay in isolation until the court removes the isolation order.
Read up on Mary Mallon. She failed to honor court orders. She came to be known as “Typhoid Mary”. Multiple people died because of her. She was asymptomatic.
Who told him to self-isolate? A doctor, a friend, his dog? Does he have any symptoms? How does he know he has it without a frickn’ test?! Unless the answers to these and other questions are forthcoming, I smell a rat.
Maybe he doesn’t like his in-laws.
