I saw one out and about for the first time a couple weeks back and I laughed aloud by myself in my car, because I was genuinely taken back by how utterly ridiculous they look in real life.

I disagree. the MAGA leaders are certainly an odious lot but it is the deplorable that vote for the politicians, that send them money through donations or grifts, and support the media efforts of the magat punditocracy and commentariat that deserve the lions share of the blame. They get the leaders that they demand, to the detriment of the whole country. The real problem with Hillary calling them deplorables was that she was being too nice and diplomatic.

Many pollsters and political observers feel Harris winning the popular vote yet Trump winning the Electoral College is a very plausible, if not likely outcome of the election.
If that happens it would be the third time in 24 years a Republican “lost” the election yet was inaugurated President. With Trump pulling it off twice.
How will most of the nation react when they’re slapped in the face with the reality their choice for President doesn’t matter? That democracy does not at all mean the will of the people is relevant? Sure, sure, we all know this happens with the Electoral College, that this is a possibility when we go to the polls. But 3 times in 24 years? All to the benefit of one party?
If the Saints beat the Jets in the Super Bowl 30 to 28, yet the Jets were awarded the win, the NFL could explain until they were blue in the face “Yeah, but rule 14-C allows for this” and the Saints fans would still be VERY pissed.
How pissed will the electorate be if Trump snakes his way into office, a second time, despite losing the popular vote both times?
