I am a petite woman under 5 ft tall. Now in my 80s. I had a substantial professional career, that when I began was in a male-dominated profession. Now there are many women in this field. I’ve had a lifetime of experience of tall men, especially tall overweight men, attempting to bully me. They ranged from construction workers to those with the military in supervisory positions to CEOs of major companies. Much to their surprise, they ended up humiliated. One was demoted. Trump fits the type. I know his type!

Likely stemming from record high oceanic heat content in the Gulf of Mexico and similar to Hurricane Debby in August, Francine is forecast to come with record-breaking precipitable water values according to the ECMWF forecast.
Precipitable water helps forecasters understand how much moisture is contained in a column of air, from the ground all the way to the top of the atmosphere. This weather variable has shown a sharp increasing trend, especially in the last two years.
Precipitable water values of 3 to 4 inches are considered very high in September and can occur in hurricane events. However, Francine is forecast by ECMWF to breach the 4 inch threshold in southern Louisiana on Wednesday, potentially reaching 4.5 inches.
In western Mississippi, values above 3.5 inches could also break September monthly records.
Overall, this speaks to the overwhelmingly moist nature of the atmosphere with Francine and the seriousness of the flood threat in the days ahead.

Wow: all those stupid duck hunters. Spending a fortune of guns, camouflage gear, and hunting dogs, when all they had to do was to walk into their neighborhood park and grab a duck by the neck!
