Fox News host Sean Hannity denied the State Department ever asked him to chill his attacks on former Ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch during his show on Monday evening.
As soon as the “fake news” epithet comes out of the mouth of this kind of miscreant, I tend to think that there’s good chance that the news report is, in fact the case, perhaps not precisely, but on the whole, true.
Well, if Hannity says they didn’t ask him to do it, it must be true. Shut the book on this one, folks. I’m sure that Hannity has no reason to mislead us. Besides, those news outlets probably don’t have records of how he spoke about her before the alleged call and after the call. I’m sure there’s nothing to it.
Un…right?
Sean has been a member of the Trump First Coalition for quite a while.
The only question is - why? There are two reasons prominent politicians and pundits hop on board this disaster express. Filthy Lucre - or Kompromat. (Yes, yes - they can be combined - but that just means the Kompromat is greased a bit - not eliminated) Bribes CAN be Kompromat.
It will be a pleasure to see this guy exposed. Bill O’Reily can send him loofahs to use in prison.
This has been true of Hannity for going on two decades. He lies more than he tells the truth. It is truly upsetting to me that such an overt and transparent liar and propagandist has ascended to such a perch. He has been so incredibly wrong about so many things for so many years, and yet he just keeps failing upward.
“The ambassador was barely ever mentioned on our show, we went back and looked. I don’t know anything about this woman, to be honest. Her name came up a few times on the show. She was an Obama holdover. I did ask one question about a news report if she was involved in something. It was a question. We do news here. I never talked to Secretary Pompeo about Ukraine. I never talked to anyone at the State Department about this ambassador,” he said.
Sean Hannity pushed back Wednesday against critics who say he has turned his television and radio shows into infomercials for Donald Trump, and his production team maintained this week that they have offered equal airtime to all GOP candidates.
“I’m not a journalist! I’m a talk radio host,” he said on his radio show
The fact that Hannity’s name came up at all in the conversation between the Ambassador and her colleagues is alarming in itself, regardless of follow through.
