Guards did not properly surveil accused sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in the hours leading up to his death, according to reports from the Washington Post, New York Times and Associated Press.

Ah yes, the ‘overworked guards’ excuse. This keeps getting better and better.

There is going to be a steady stream of vague reports, conflicting with other vague reports. Sourcing is going to be a nightmare for reporters and readers following this. Because there are a lot of vested interests in putting out misinformation as much as their is in putting out information.
In the case of Barr, I try to use my imagination:
I imagine the Amazon jungle…from distances of 1,000,000 miles, 250,000 miles, 2,000 miles, 200 miles, 20 miles, 2 miles, 200 feet, 20 feet and finally 2 feet
The latter being a indescribably dense connectivity of tentacle-like jungle.
And I think of Barr and this caper of his…and his fervent desire to be 1,000,000 miles away from this one.

Has anyone seen a picture of the cell in which Epstein supposedly killed himself? I have now seen in several places statements indicating that these cells are supposed to be ‘suicide proof’, in that it should be impossible to hang yourself. I have not seen a picture in any of the articles I have read up to now.

Needs more information before she can determine the cause of death but there’s no evidence of foul play…Okay, let’s see, um, you’ve got death by hanging, ah, you’ve got natural causes…okay, what’s left? Blunt force trauma by pounding his own head against the walls, bars, floor…you’ve got piano wire, struck by small automobile, crushed by falling piano, venomous serpent bite, air strike, wild dogs, I’m stuck.
There’s already an effort to make Epstein seem like the mastermind behind a massive international Jewish-Dem-liberal-billionaire sex ring that had little to nothing to do with Trump and other Repubs. A FP article up now in WaPo highlights a woman who was Epstein’s de facto madame, the daughter of Robert Maxwell, like Trump a fake billionaire and con artist, and Jewish, and mentions only well-known and/or very rich Jews, liberals and Dems, such as Leslie Wexner, Bill Richardson, George Mitchell, Prince Andrew, JFK, Jr., and the Clintons (who of course had Epstein killed).
The point being to erase any connections between Epstein and his sick sex ring and Trump and fellow Repubs, and instead connect well-known Dems and libs to him, and use what was potentially going to be a problem for the former, until he so conveniently offed himself, as a weapon against the latter. This all stinks to high heaven and if the media falls for let alone enables it, god help them.
No doubt any video recording of his cell was curiously “accidentally” erased or the camera or recorder was broken or not working at the time.
I don’t think we can accept any reports of this made for media event as truth. If the Feds had wanted Epstein to live he would have. Suicide resistant rubber rooms have been around for a long time. Cell mates, surveillance cameras, and guards who follow instructions somehow all disappeared right on cue. It’s very much like a big time wrestling show where the ref. gets distracted while the bad guy pounds the good guy with a folding chair that just happens to be on hand. Standard tRump reality teevee.
This is Goodfellas meets Watergate. Thing is, neither ended well for the instigators.
She needs to review the video tapes of the corridor in front of the POS’s cell for at least 4-8 hours before he was found. Was there ever an occasion where, say, two large men dressed as guards entered his cell, spending several minutes inside before they came back out again. Can we get facial recognition on everyone in that hallway for the previous 24 hours, to make sure that all were actually guards?
Or were the video cameras also overworked?
Just asking as someone who knows nothing about murder investigations.
She doesn’t need more info, she needs more money. Pay her enough and it its “suicide”, too little and it’s “murder”.

The problem we have here is: If this is the, very unlikely, result of a nefarious agent within the government, there will be attempts to cover it up. If it is the result of gross negligence, as it now seems, attempts will be made to cover it up because careers, bad optics, the usual self serving shit. So, either way, there needs to be an independent investigation by a commission, one not headed by a Republican.
And also, hanging from what?
