I hate those Uline assholes. We get their huge catalog in the mail every month or so and it goes straight into the trash. Doesn’t even come into the building. I’ve wondered if it’s better to get our company off of their list or to continue letting them pay the associated costs for their fucking catalog without any chance of ever getting a return from us.

WIsconsin is really a mess now. That Gableman dude got caught billing taxpayers for travel to a Republican Party event and his whole escapade is costing Wisconsinites a bundle.
The payment showed up in invoices obtained Friday under the state’s open records by the liberal group American Oversight.
Those records, combined with earlier ones released to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and others, show Gableman’s review of the 2020 election has cost taxpayers $519,000 so far.

Wisconsin is doing just fine. If it weren’t, you’d never hear about the Gableman bilking. It’d’ve been hidden in the latest GQP appropriation bill.
Uline is one of many businesses in Wisconsin. Minocqua Brewery is in Wisconsin too and it’s having an effect.
The entire State is not bad, as too many want to point out. I keep emphasizing the good that’s happening there, but others seem hellbent on insisting the State is a disaster.

Well, I’m not going to burn my Uline catalogs, but we won’t be ordering from them in the future. I keep a catalog or two from Uline in the trunk as survival gear: If I have a long wait, I can read it. If I need to make a fire, the pages are reasonable tinder. And they can serve as better-than-nothing “wipers”.

Back when I was still ordering from Uline (that would have been last year), the flood of catalogs was so absurd that I sent them a nice letter, asking for fewer, like maybe one per year, since if I was shopping, I’d use the website with its “Search” capabilities.
They listened.
Now, you can try to bankrupt the Uline Megacorp by getting lots of catalogs, but it will be at the expense of the environment. Your choice!

The Gov. Evers maps were “slightly less” Republican, and embodied the “least change” goal? Well, better than nothing, but it still locks in Republican minority rule for the next decade. (sigh)

It is NOT good news, it is merely better than adopting the GOP plan.
What happened is the Repug majority in the Wisconsin Supreme Court ruled that the new redistricting plan had to adhere to a “least change” from the previous map created in 2010 when Repugs controlled both the legislature and Governor. Therefore the plan adopted while being less horrible than the GOP wanted, is still very tilted in Repug favor. In fact it basically assures a minority will control the state legislature and most congressional districts for the next 10 years while likely losing every state wide election.

What gets me is how incurious of how things like elections worked was rampant in so many people. Or that they also have to believe that the League of Women Voters is some sort of nefarious organization.
Maybe one of the time consuming things would be to check these now published online data sets to see how many times these folks voted in the past? I seem to remember many election cycles ago some group paid for this kind of info and mailed voters their voting history with a grade on their amount of participation. This peeved me when I heard about it, and then some group did do this in St. Louis County. When I received my postcard in the mail I was piqued about getting an A-, which motivated me to try for an A or A+. Probably doesn’t work like that for most folks though.
