First lady Melania Trump announced on Tuesday that White House press secretary Stephanie Grisham, who had never held an on-camera press briefing, will be leaving her post to become Melania Trump’s chief of staff.
“Steps down” may be an overstatement.
We all pay her salary.
She may not have held any briefings but that was never her job…

Right…and is ANYONE surprised? She was inept. Clueless. Never held a conference. Ran to FOX when she wanted to ‘announce’ something and it always degenerated into a whine fest. Mark Meadows is many things but stupid is not one of them. He knows to go into full whine and snivel mode and INSIST DAMMIT that Trump and Company are the true victims takes a different face. As far as I can tell, Trump has taken on the job of being his own press secretary. Why not? Apparently he has time on his hands.

I just kind of shrug at this news, frankly.
Trump has as much as said in the past that he believes himself to be the most effective communicator in his administration (his words, not mine), so–especially of late, with these marathon “briefings,” what has there been for Grisham to do aside from those hits on Fox?
There probably just won’t be another press secretary for this administration, and with regard to getting the administration’s message out, Trump will just be in, “You think that was good? Here–hold my beer” mode from here on out.
She will be stepping doen to spend more time with her family: Johnnie Walker, Jim Beam, Jack Daniel, Jose Cuervo, Captain Morgan, her Old Granddad, and her half sister Bombay Sapphire.

How chilling was it to find out that Jared Kushner was in charge of our coronavirus response? What else does Trump have to do or say to get the 40% to crack?

Now she can go back to a job with the do-nothing FLOTUS, who spends most of her day getting her nails and hair and face done — this allows old Steph to be able to sleep off the hangovers out of sight of the West Wingers…
