Hegseth is as batshit as Trump if you read through Aaron’s thread this morning, Here’s a guy who relishes death and destruction - he sounds like a psychopath triumphalist. No measured words and tones here. Disturbing to have such a man second in charge of so much military power.

Sounds like they’re eager to do war crimes. Hope not.

I hope that he will hurry on to a future of squeegeeing car windshields on one of the Lincoln Tunnel’s access roads.
ETA: I had hoped that the end of the Iraq misadventure signalled a moving on from these petro-industry driven imperial projects. Boy was I mistaken.

Jesus. How about John Cornyn? You know, literally the other guy in the race. While I’m no fan of Cornyn, he’s certainly not the corrupt PoS Paxton is. It just goes to prove, once again, that these self-proclaimed Bible thumpers can rationalize anything.

Is there a budget for this war or is it open-ended? And how much have we spent so far? I’ve heard that those 3 downed F-15s cost close to $300 million by themselves.

I’m not sure I understand what’s going on here. Did they find him in a diner in rural Iowa?

I guess that answrs the question of, “Who thinks the problem in Iraq was that we spent too much time trying to stabilize a subservient, extractive regime and not enough time on basic rapine, pillage and plunder?”
Pete is as rabid as a member of an Avar horde, without any of the virtues.
I’ll guess he’s also the type who’ll curse his victims as “ingrates” when they run us out of their countries and blackball this country.

My understanding is that the TX legislature gerrymandered her district away. She’s too good to be on the sidelines.

The people of this country will be paying for this misadventure at the pump, through utility bills and through raised taxes into the foreseeable future.
As best I can gather, the scheduled beneficiaries would appear to be the arms industry, all principals in the petrobusinesses, Trump, Org. and its toadies.
That’s some national interest there, eh?
