Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is trying to make a victimhood buck.
Fresh off of signaling she was unfazed by her meeting with House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) as she faces mounting calls for her expulsion from Congress, Rep. Majorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) on Wednesday attempted to cash in on the backlash — once again playing the victim card.
Entirely predictable. And, also predictable, it will be short lived.
She will have a short political career. I suspect the state GOP is already lining up people to primary her.
She has no allies in Congress, nor the national GOP at this point. Even other crazies like Gaetz, etc, don’t want her around, as she is trying to hog all the spotlight. One of the many problems with narcissists, they don’t play well on teams.
Before Trump, I would have agreed. However, she is deploying the Trump playbook for a hostile takeover of the GOP. I don’t have the same level of confidence as you that she won’t succeed.
"I and the America First agenda are not going anywhere!,” Greene’s fundraising email on Wednesday said. “More importantly I need you, the People, to have my back!”
She’s consciously aping Trump at this point, that seems clear. This is the best/worst/most unusual thing in the history of the world, blah blah blah. Next would have to be the big red tie down to her knees and the weird posture.
If you think it’s bad now, keep running your mouth. You have a seat to defend soon. She will be back to harassing kids on the street, or whatever it was she did before she was elected, in a couple years.
