Simple. There is no “good reason”. There is only “bad reasons”. It’s called covering up corruption. It really is that simple.

Earth to Chuck…there were no good reasons…only a matter of criminal expediency that I dare say you were fine with when that impeachment thing was going down…

That’s certainly true, Senator. So, what are you going to do about it?

Squeak a little bit and then silence

Aaaand once again Grassley proves himself to be less useful than an asshole on an elbow.

He’ll furrow his brow, he and Susan Collins will express “deep concern”, they’ll do nothing, and then vote in favor of whatever right-wing shyster Trump nominates for the courts.

I’d have more respect for them if they just STFU.

So the White House told the good Senator to piss off, they’ll do what they damn well please ? Who could have seen that coming ? But Grassley does see the handwriting on the wall, his remark about " sunset at the end of this administration ” sounds as if he expects that sunset to be looming nigh. We can only hope that is so…

That is the issue, isn’t it.

Chuck can do something about it but won’t. Also, Mitch was fine with firing the I.G.'s.

The cutline for that photo. The Republican Party luncheon was on a train?

“If the president has a good reason to remove an inspector general, just tell Congress what it is,” Grassley said in a statement. “Otherwise, the American people will be left speculating whether political or self interests are to blame.”

Shorter Grassley: Please give me a more credible bullshit reason so I can pretend to do my job.

As if Grassley cares- he’s 100% complict.

Go back to sleep, Chuck.

Here’s something I don’t get. Anybody with eyes in their head knows that what Trump has done to the country would be impossible without the complicity of the entire GOP. Yet, Dem leadership really only addresses Trump himself.

Has Schumer, for example, ever put out a statement along the lines of “It baffles me when my colleagues such as Sen. Grassley squeak and whine in reaction to Trump’s attacks on our republic. In the end, they will do nothing but enable him. Given that, you would think they would have enough self respect to simply shut up.”

Trump is a distraction.

Biden’s first order of business should be to fire every single Trump IG and replace them…right before he signs the legislation expanding the SCOTUS. Clean house like it’s going out of style. Fuck Grassley. Fuck the GOP. And fuck the Trump KKKult.

No Mercy. No Quarter.
