Why correct your testimony indeed? Jail time might have something to do with it. But Lindsey wouldn’t know anything about that, he’s got pardon written all over him.

“Why did Sondland change his testimony?” Graham said. “Was there a connection between Sondland and Democratic operatives on the committee? Did he talk to Schiff? Did he talk to Schiff’s staffers?”
The logical explanation is that Sondlund knew the gig was up on his previous testimony. He changed it to avoid, or mitigate, legal entanglements. Of course, Graham knows exactly that.

During an interview on Fox News Wednesday night, Graham accused Sondland of conspiring with “Democratic operatives” and House Intel Chair Adam Schiff
I have my own theory. Sondland talked to his attorney after his testimony was contradicted by more credible witnesses, his attorney explained the penalties for perjury and lying to Congress, and Sondland had an amazing recovery from Trump induced amnesia. As for Graham, being a member of the South Carolina Bar for a long time is very different from being a lawyer for a very long time.
