Senate Judiciary Chair Lindsey Graham (R-SC), who was eager to hear whatever dirt Trump lawyer Rudy Giuliani claims to have on Joe Biden several weeks ago, now seems to have some misgivings.
Lindsey suddenly has cold feet.
I think he realizes this is all spiraling out of control.
Graham wants Guliani’s information vetted by the IC? Our IC? That same IC Trump has attacked, demoralized, and thrown under the bus in favor of Putin’s propaganda?
Is this Graham’s way of asking for a golf date with Trump? You know…to get on the same page.

Maybe he watched his 1998 speech in the Senate about ‘presidential misconduct.’

Maybe he saw his latest poll numbers in South Carolina and realizes he needs to pull back from off-the-wall insane to reasonable-doubt insane?
ETA: Or perhaps it was the fly open and flecks of saliva drip, drip, dripping into the creases of his chin while giving an interview that was Graham’s first clue that perhaps Rudy’s not all there?

I think even that is Graham’s cover story. I’m sure that someone must have explained to him that if he calls Ghouliani to testify in front of the committee, the Democrats on the committee will be able to question the “volunteer lawyer”. As we’ve seen, Drooliani doesn’t do well in public interviews when the interviewers ask real questions, and follow up on the threads.
He hopes Ghouliani knows what he’s talking about? Am I missing something here?
After all this, someone finally whispered in his ear NOW that this might be dezinfo? I doubt it worked like that.
So is one of Graham’s billionaire influencers telling him that now is the time to see what Giuliani’s billion-ruble-aire influencers gave him?
Or is Graham being told that now is the time to show doubt about Giuliani’s whole scheme in case the boss decides to underbus Rudy?

Primary season is on Graham’s mind. But will face an opponent in the General who is going to appeal to all the people Graham has to alienate to beat back his threat from the Right.
