Lindsey is desperately trying to look reasonable now, because polling shows his seat is not safe. He’s been kissing Trumpty Dumpty’s ass for so long that he’s tainted, and this is his way of trying to remove some of the stain.

His uncle was a prof at MIT so Trump thinks he’s smart by association. Of course that is not a smart thought to think but then again actually being smart by association is not a thing.

I’ve always said it’s like it’s like he’s halfway rational on Tuesdays and Thursdays and a wingnut weasel MWF, and today it’s literally true. He’s been this way for years, and even as a Trump toady the pattern holds. Maybe he thinks he’s mending fences with the reality-based community or maybe he’s just a mass of inner conflicts if you know what I mean AND I THINK YOU DO.
