I keep having the lyrics to Neil Young’s “Ohio” run through my head, especially the “We’re finally on our own” line. This is what we have to realize.We can’t expect the Feds to help at all. In fact, they’re going to do everything they can to make this worse. We have to demand that even our GOP Governors start acting in ways that makes sense.

The data has been saying that for a long time. Ironically, it probably is politics (and prehaps more people dying) that is motivating the change of heart. It seems the politics of the situation now dictate that they should actually do what the data has been telling them all along.
