It certainly seems like this is the direction Donald John “Don the Con” Trump is aiming for. His #1 Toochus lecher Billy Barr could not contain his glee as he openly admited to doing the Conmans bidding.

I suppose it is just possible that THIS scandal might be the one to break Chump’s back and scrape off a bunch of supporters. When we are dying by 1000s a day and Chump is shown to be turning the entire pandemic response into his Grift Game. It doesn’t get any more Emoluenty than that.

I said back when the Mueller Report came out and Impeachment screeching was getting all revved up…that the Emoluments were something that even regular folks could really get upset about. Don’t have to be wonky. Don’t have to understand policy or global politics to be outraged about the top officer of the U.S. govt. running scams and stealing YOUR cash. It might be one thing when he is paying off porn actresses with HIS money, another if he is propping up his bankrupt business failures with YOUR money.
Never EVER had a president before who had his own businesses and suck-up grifter kids roaming the WH looking for scams and tilting every single presidential decision and tipping every scale. Even idiot RWNJs know nepotism and rich people stealing from them. The rubes out in the hollers could avoid all the fake news ‘stories’ but if the Emoluments came front and center in the Impeachment articles…the rubes AND the Senators would have a very hard time excusing or obfuscating it. And it would really have put the pressure on to get his taxes and fiscal details.
But alas, it was never even mentioned. I felt the Mueller obstruction counts and emoluments were much easier to prove and more powerful than the Ukraine stuff.
