Gov. Inslee Says CBP Denials Of Detaining Iranians Are ‘Simply Not Credible’

Washington Gov. Jay Inslee (D) slammed the Customs and Border Protection agency on Monday for allegedly detaining and questioning Iranian-Americans at the Canada-U.S. border in Blaine, Washington, which he attributed to the Trump administration’s “never-ending vilification” of immigrants.

“Homeland Security had ordered CBP to detain those of Iranian descent, including U.S. citizens.”

And yet, West Virginians are allowed to just waltz around completely unmolested…

You know there was a directive to do this. And you know his name is Miller.

This seemed to be happening mostly in WA, with people coming back from Canada.

There was some sort of Iranian music festival/artist performing in south British Columbia. Hence the large contingent of Iranian Americans that crossed to attend, and were returning.

“Customs and Border Protection denials of these reports are simply not credible,” he said. “There are multiple firsthand accounts of CBP agents seizing people’s passports while they waited for up to 12 hours for re-entry into the United States.”

CBP has long ago expended any reasonable benefit of the doubt. The entire border and immigration apparatus of DHS simply cannot be trusted any more.

Happened to catch a bit of decent reporting on NPR’s Morning Edition this morning. Venezuelan man who actually got an immigration judge to agree with his case, not something that happens much any more, but was sent back to Mexico anyway. And was given a piece of paper listing a date for another hearing. But no such hearing was ever scheduled, and the date was apparently fictitious.

Immigration officials, of course, deny that they’re making up fake hearing dates.

And you’d think this case would have been ideologically favored. The man is a Venezuelan ex-cop who left because he refused to arrest political opponents on bogus charges, and suffered retaliation for it.

But then again, since “bogus charges” and denial of basic rights is the DHS modus operandi these days, maybe it’s just professional courtesy on their part.

So are they keeping track of citizens of Iranian ancestry, or just ones born there?

The thugs at CBP of course are going to deny it, those lawless bastards take their cues from the Pestilent .

Which is why I hope that there is some brave Resistance operative working under Miller that is saving every email, call logs, and piece of paper that Miller produces. I want him cold and caged.
