I’m puzzled by people who can muster the cognitive dissonance to square the Bible and Ayn Rand’s shinola.
The only masks they’ll be wearing are oxygen masks, right up until they’re intubated. Within a few days, they’ll be wearing just a toe tag.
MAGAt: Don’t tread on me!
COVID-19: Here, hold my beer…
Going forward, every hospital intake form should start with
- Did you wear a mask when you went outdoors?
- Did you maintain physical distancing while in public?
If the patient answers no to either of these questions, put them in a special room and let ‘em sit there. Our healthcare workers are getting sick and dying because these freedumb lovin’ snowflakes think wearing a mask during an international health crisis is for losers.
Honestly, I see these rebel R’s as the first and most certainly not the last to defy Trump, because they know their asses will be kicked.
Yeah, it’s almost like Ayn wrote a book on exactly that.
Stinking, snorting RINOs!!!
I’m very disappointed
So a slight push back on the human sacrifice order. And only after killing off the workers was empirically determined to be detrimental to the stock market.
If requiring a face mask in public is “unacceptable interference in how people lead their lives”, then so is requiring food prep workers to wash their hands after using the rest room.
Libertarianism and diarrhea: two great tastes that go together.
Except for the Governor of N.Dak.- who used clear examples of why wearing a mask is important- none of these yahooos stated a full throated endorsement for masks. DeWine crept up to it but stepped back. Scott ran away from it so fast the door hit his ass on the way out and Hutchinson said nothing meaningful. Trump made this a controversial and partisan issue. It is on him that masks are -an us vs them issue.
Rick Scott once again attempts to mask his crazed ghoul good looks to no avail.
Yes it is, however, they are dumb asses for being a hinderous from the get go.
mmmm looking for little side road short cuts to the promised land aye.
to late, gop is quickly coming to the dead end, then over the cliff.
163 days left till gop dooms day. lol
That is part of it, but the other part is the “big bidness” backers, aka funders. While the MAGA set (and Trump, Kushner, Kudlow, etc) does not understand economics, each of these governors does. And they realize - or have have been told loud and clear, that if the only ones who come back to the economy are the MAGA set, (1) they will all infect each other, and (2) they don’t have the needed purchasing power to restart the economy in any event, and (3) the mere act of them running around breathing on each other as an act of liberation is scaring those who DO have spending power (the middle class, and middle class women in particular), such that the economy can’t re-open.
This is all about the fact that Trump and FOX news’s line is HORRIBLE for big business, which knows that going down the mask war route is a sure fire depression.
Absolutely
This all sounds nice now that they see the election writing on the wall, but there’s only been one party politicizing the use of PPE, Governor GOPer Fucknuts. This is just both-siderism in disguise.
It’s amazing how far the mask discussion has moved over a short period of time. It wasn’t that long ago that public health officials were recommending against the wearing of masks. Now even Republican governors are beating the drum for wearing masks in public spaces.
The analogies are faulty because seat belts protect the person who decides whether to use them. They’re also mandatory in auto design and most states.
Masks are to protect other people and they won’t make that mandatory. It’s not a political divide, it’s a common sense and compassion divide.
That makes it a political divide with the state of today’s GOP which is basic Trumpism where there is no common sense and certainly no compassion.
Late to the party. Again.
Not going to work. Well maybe in Ohio. And DeWine’s been acceptable throughout.
But Florida and Arkansas are so down the rabbit hole already, I’m not sure that any amount of better sentiment speak is going to do the trick. Those yahoos will sooner deny their governor’s and senators’ sanity than admit this whole thing isn’t a liberal political trick. Oh, and freedom!
They’re in for very long hot sick summers – and eventually Florida won’t be able to hide the problem anymore. Arkansas has had trending up numbers consistently. Never had a decline to speak of at all and my best guess is that they’re actually worse than what is public record.
